“ahem”…..Being “old school”, I was talkin bout the chord (guitar) and not the note!
On the other hand…..Always had a hard time with Bmag. How many “Rich-daverich” lessons would it take me to learn “the cheats” Bmag? 😆

ParticipantCouldn’t help but wonder…..Does Bruce do any song in any variation of the key of B? Can’t wait to see what the “Rich-daverich Music Variation” lesson is gonna cost me! 😆

I have Bruce’s piano sheet music Anthology and it also includes the chords for guitar. As a novice guitar player It’s definitely way over my head!

ParticipantI know that BH uses the key B major to play ‘Look out any window’, which come to think of it, must be something that is very hard for DD to do, due to the thick metal bars

Lake Lanier, GAWhat? Wow, only 3 posts to the board and the 3rd is to knock DPD over the head? 😯 Me thinks this is one of SMP or MVF’s aliases here. No?
Either way, it’s hilarious!
By the way, DPD, nice comeback there! 😆

ParticipantI saw my friend Kebe today & gave him a copy of the Levitate CD. He is originally from Senegal. He became a big Bruce fan after accompanying my husband & me to the Biltmore and Charlotte, NC, shows in “06 and the Greensboro, NC, solo show in ’07.
What did he think of the new CD? “I really liked songs #1(Black Rats Of London) and #4(Continents Drift),” he said.
I found this rather interesting, since these two songs are also favorites among fans on the Board & the Levitate page. It always amazes me how music transcends language and culture and brings people together.

Music is a universal language, and it has “words” in its’ vocabulary to express many things that spoken languages can only hope to come close to saying.

“I’m singing this note ’cause it fits in well with the way I’m feeling. There’s a symphony that I hear in your heart that sets my head a-reeling.” – P. TownshendFebruary 9, 2010 at 1:05 am #31538treah
ParticipantVery eloquently phrased,Rich. And very true!
Also love the timely & expressive Pete Townshend quote.
