ParticipantHey Allisa!
That’s great! I’ve been playing guitar since I was eight. Maybe we should get together for a duet!
Check out Collective Soul’s DVD “Home”. They play with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. It’s outstanding! Ed Rolland (guitar/singer) plays a duet with a cellist. It’s great!

Ah, yes, Allisa the cellist with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony! Good work, Ellen! Why didn’t I remember that? Allisa, your cover of “Song C” was one of my favorites from “Shadow Hands.” What do you have in the works for “Shadow Hands-Part Deux” — “Song H,” perhaps?
molomolomolo: Golf’s more my game, too. If you’re ever in the Chattanooga area, let me know. We could check out the Bear Trace at Harrison Bay — one of the Nicklaus-designed courses in Tennessee. David, surely you play? All we need is one more, and we could have a FOB-foursome!
MVaF: Unfortunately, I can’t make Spartanburg. That Thursday just won’t work for me. 😥 Plus, I’ve got tickets to see the Lovell Sisters that Friday (LovellSisters.com).

Vic-I checked out the course online. Looks really nice! Not sure when i’ll be in Chatt next, but maybe could make a weekend golf trip sometime in the near future. Valhalla here in Louisville is Nicklaus-designed as well and is a beautiful course. Went to the PGA Championship here in ’96 and ’00 and got tickets for the Ryder Cup in ’08. Next to impossible to get on the course unless you know a member.

Wow, Allisa, that looks like a phenomenal place. i’ll definitely have to add that to my list of courses to visit. what’s your connection to the course?

ParticipantIt’s here in my hometown and I have worked off and on for the company that owns it. I almost had JV talked into making a stop between Woodinville and Boise this past summer to play a round – maybe next tour!

So, Allisa, if we were able to get some Bruuuce fans out there for an outing could you get us a discounted rate package? It would probably have to be next summer after my wife has her baby but we’d love to come out there and play that course and take in the beauty of the area. If you can’t then we’ll try to make it out there anyway.

We need to get JV in on this!

ParticipantFloating Island Green?!?
Allisa, you really one-upped me with that golf course! I’m just a bogey golfer; I’m not sure I want to have anything to do with a green that you need a ferry to get to!!! I never knew Idaho is so scenic, though.
I also didn’t know Louisville is such a big golf town. In my defense, molomolomolo, those pictures on the Bear Trace web site don’t do the course justice. It’s a great public course. I wish I had the pull to get you on The Honors or The Farm, two of the best courses in the area, but no such luck.
David: knickers??? You and the late, great Payne Stewart, right? I’d love to play with JV. I think he’s about as bad as I am!

A round of golf with you guys sounds like a lot of fun. This is only my second year playing golf, so i still have a lot to learn. I’m not quite sure i’m ready for a course such as Valhalla or even the one Allisa mentioned. I am planning on taking a few lessons this winter so maybe next year i’ll get down in the 80’s if possible. (my best score for 18 this year was a 94).
