Where’s that blasted bat when I need it!!! 😆 Excuse me, flying all day, changing planes in Atlanta, etc, doesn’t count as a “Road Warrior??” Geez, what does it take?? I could’ve changed the oil on the plane but security might have questioned that. Kind of like Bruce’s security questioning me. 😮 DAvid, as hard as it is to say, we did miss your sorry ass. We fell short on using the bat. 😈

Bryan, thanks for spotting me out. As Bruce knows, I’m not one to hide and be shy. Bryan, please tell me you weren’t there when I was there as I would’ve loved to have met you. Don’t make me get the bat.

Give Mary a break! Clearly she deserves a Road Warrior title. C’mon…it’s treat to get in your car, crank up the Bruce and take a road trip. Nothing fun about:

a) getting to the airport an hour before a flight (if it’s on time)
b) going through security (full body scan or the pat down)
c) praying your baggage gets on the plane
d) hoping the flight won’t be delayed or canceled and that once you board you won’t sit indefinitely on the tarmac
e) fingers crossed on making your connection
f) changing flights
g) repeat steps c and d
h) waiting for your stuff at your destination
i) then dealing with a rental car.

The flight’s easy, but everything associated with it has the potential to be a NIGHTMARE! I didn’t even mention the kid who kicks your seat thoughout the flight, being stuck in the middle, or having to pay for peanuts. Plus, I’d be willing to bet it took Mary longer to go door to door than it did me (it took me 7 hours).

Oh…and she’s done it twice in the last few months! Remember, she flew to Virginia for the ALS benefit too.

Give credit where credit’s due my friend. If not a Road Warrior then perhaps a special designation for those who take on air travel out of devotion to Bruce. Hey, maybe Si needs to run another contest!

Sure did miss meeting you. By summer I’ll be ready to rotate those tires again, get the oil changed and hit the road. How ’bout you?

Hey, now I like “Flying Ace” although I’m sure David and Molo3 will translate that into another term or two. 😆 Jackie, you left that one wiiiiiiiiiide open. 😮

And a few things to point out in my favor:

Since our airport in Denver is basically in Kansas, you need to tack on an extra 45 minutes just to drive to the flippin’ airport.
The other thing is I always allow myself 1 1/2 hours to get through security just in case I like the pat-down I can go back for more. Now that’s something DAvid would say.
And lastly, the handle on my luggage got broken while in transit so I think that adds in for a few points right there.

Kat is right, it did take me longer door to door…about 11 hours worth. Double up the points yet again.

It’s nice to know I’m amongst friends. DAvid is so right (that killed me to say that) in that if we didn’t give each other crap, we’d wonder what was wrong with one another.

Hey Si! It was actually Victor who came up with C of B! Not me……As long as we’re givin’ credit due to where credit is due, I have no problem with “fessin’ up” that it was Victor who came up with that.

On the other hand……I now remember what that “unnamed person” told me to tell you! 😆

In a previous post, that “unnamed person” wrote:
“Lastly, even though being Road Warrior of the Year will be a distinct honor, the ultimate goal will remain to be called to the hollowed status of Road Scholar. In another post, Vic listed all the current Road Scholars! That list remains the same!”

That “unnamed person” doesn’t seem to understand why everyone has their “panties in a wad”! 😆 It appears to that person that, SMP has already been givin’ that “distinct honor”! 😆

On another hand…..That “unnamed person” has told me to tell you that…..There does need to be some “clarity” between a Road Scholar and a Road Warrior! 😆

That “unnamed person” has finally told me to tell you that…..It is still “under advisement” and that Victor’s original “list”, way back when, long time ago……Remains the same until then! 😆
