What could be better for the environment than a bunch of Marshalls blasting your neighbor? 😆

ParticipantHey daverich!
All kidding aside…..Kenya and Not Another Moment to Waste are my favs so far. Very “tasty”!
I like it a lot!
Out of curiosity…..What was your inspiration to write those tunes and how long did it take you?

Participantwell, Not another moment to waste was inspired by planning our new daughter Hazel
and Kenya was inspired by a really hot chick who I didn’t have the balls to ask out many many years ago and she really did go to Kenya “helpin folks out”
Kind regards

I’m also “warming up to” “Wheels”!
Don’t tell me….Has to do with getting away from girls? 😆
On the other hand….You didn’t answer one of my questions. How long does it take you to write a song? Are you a “The End of the Innocence” type of writer where Bruce tells the story that he went over to Don Henley’s house one afternoon and wrote the song…..Or, is it a process, where you have to think about it, let it build and “fester” to where finally it becomes a song?
Which brings up another question…..Do you write the music first and then the lyrics, or the lyrics first and then the music?
I like your record, I really do!…..Or, should I say…..”mp3 thingy”. Whichever one, it’s good!

Participantoh I’m a quick writer,- 20minutes.
If it’s not done in 20mins then I find it hard to recapture the mojo later on.
I write the lyrics and the music as I go – and maybe I’ll revise a bit that doesn’t work very well later,- but on the whole the idea for the song pings into existence and then I’ll go about creating the song to depict the idea.
Wheels is a more complex song than first impressions will allude to,- a mix of environmental issues, comment on a stagnant society and the blind leading the blind.
Kind regards
Dave Rich
