ParticipantIs Bruce touring with the noisemakers on this current tour? What role does Ricky Skaggs Play? Is it like a double billing act, is all duets/team effort.
Thanks for any insight

ParticipantBruce is touring with Ricky’s band, Kentucky Thunder. I don’t there are any Noisemakers dates set anytime in the near future.

Participantwe’re thinking of coming over this year, but if there’s no noisemakers gigs I might leave it til next year.
Gotta see em at least once in my life!
Kind regards

From the looks of Bruce’s “official” page, I get the impression hat 2008 is a Noisemakers year. Just keep us Statesiders abreast of your itinerary, so that we can meet up somewhere along the way.

ParticipantPrepare for an invasion – if 2 people can be considered an invasion – because if the Noisemakers do tour in 2008, I’m coming over too!

Hey Rich,
Not sure what you’re talking about – on the official site, I saw 1 solo gig, and the rest are with Ricky. I do hope you know something I don’t… I miss those boys something fierce…

KeymasterWord is that Bruce is currently in “recording mode”, and will be for much of 2008.
I understand there will be Noisemakers shows – they did a private show last Saturday – but don’t expect too many on the calendar this year.
And to answer a question I’ve been asked several times – emphatically, this is not the end of the road for the Noisemakers!

good to hear there’ll be some.
I only need to know about one! (and with reasonable notice, and ideally in the autumn would be nice,- oh and can I have a front seat please
)
Kind regards
Dave Rich.

Whatever it was I saw on the site back when I posted that led me to believe that there absolutely were Noisemakers shows being scheduled. Now, I can follow the link and get the specific list of shows, and all there are listed are “with Ricky” shows and the solo one. Sorry.

Anyone interested in a private show?

KeymasterJust to add to my earlier post – JV is under the impression that any Noisemakers shows will be in August.
No idea on venues at all, but if I were to speculate, I’d suggest the New York and DC area. It will have been two years since a Wolf Trap gig…

How ’bout a park or a pub or something in the neighbourhood? There’s no place in the world more appropriate for a Bruuuuce.com private show than Si’s bailiwick. Or, we could book a place in Williamsburg, but we’d have to avoid the summer, ‘cuz that’s prime tourist season and everything costs twice as much.

Tivoli(Chattanooga), Biltmore, Chastain Park(Atlanta), Charolotte, TN Theater(Knoxville), Roanoke(What about that Carey?
),Williamsburg(private show!
), Viriginia Beach, Phily, Wolf Trap!
That’s not asking too much is it? 😆 😆 😆

Lake Lanier, GAPS: I would take the whole month off for that! 😆 Who knows! 💡 Maybe I’ll win Road Scholar of the Year or Road Warrior of the Year!
There is hope! 😆 Road Scholars start your engines! 😆

So, here’s what we do. Get all of us together and have a big poker game. Winner gets to decide where the private show will be. The whole thing gets paid for by giving Bruce a new topic for a song that will end up making him millions because it will be used as the bumper music for next year’s ESPN coverage of the World Series of Poker!

ParticipantI know we’re not supposed to post unofficial dates so I’ll just say, without naming specific sites or dates, pollstar is already showing dates in August and October – with Ricky Skaggs. Doesn’t look good for a return to full-time Noisemaking any time soon.

well I guess the most I can hope for is the odd show that’ll be well publicised in advance.
This Skaggs habit is getting annoying

This Skaggs habit is getting annoyingIt’s got to be a “business decision”. You got to go wherever the cash machine is happening! You got to respect Bruce for that! Be happy that it’s happening for him! You would do the same thing!
Be patient! The Noisemakers will come back around!
It will be sweeter whenever that happens!
At least give thanks for Bruce’s Christmas present download! I have a feeling he is trying to look after us!

Lake Lanier, GAyou are of course correct, and yeah I do understand it.
I guess it’s all good for bruce, and he’s probably gaining more fans for doing it.

ParticipantI’ve only been to Hampton Bay Days once, but I BELIEVE that the concerts there are free and totally open to the public. Bay Days is sort of a block party/lawn party/festival put on by the city of Hampton every year.
