KeymasterAre you going to be buying any of the official live recordings, due out on July 9? Take a vote… all comments welcome!

ParticipantThe announcement of another 10 shows to be released on BruceHornsbyLive.com is perfectly-timed. I recently bought the last of the 8 already on there. They’re all fantastic. Hopefully Bruce hasn’t chopped any of them as he suggested he might with some in the “Phone Chat” with Si in January. Even if a couple of the songs aren’t perfect, I’d still like to have the full shows.
Roll on the 9th!

They are full shows this time around, with nothing split between two discs. That’s from the guy who’s putting it all together, who said that he’d rather slit his own wrists than bundle a track onto two CDs.

Many thanks for the forum which I just joined, I used Lauras Dad as a user names on account of lauras appearance on stage with Bruce in London last September.
I will be buying the new shows when they come on line but I would be really interested to hear from other folks about which shows they think are perhaps better than some other now available.
I bought four of the last set and I think Westbury is my favorite, I expect that they will all match our wishes but I like to hear other opinions.
Cheers

GuestBruce Live recordings
Hey everyone:
Just thought I would give my opinion on the live shows for sale. I have been collecting bruce shows since 1993 and I have over 100 live bruce shows. Over the years it has gotten increasing more difficult to find the
time to hook up with other traders and trade. The brucehornsbylive.com website gives me the chance to get bruce shows for a reasonable price and I do not have to do any work for it. I think it is a blessing for the fans and I have purchased just about all of the shows for sale. I hope Bruce keeps this thing alive and I will do my part by supporting the website.

Participantwell, they all sound great… Philly is a darn good show, and so is the Copenhagen. It’s not as if there’s a bad one in the bunch, it comes down to the set list… does it strike your fancy… Bruce hand picks the shows, so you know they have to be good…

Guestphilly show
I will attest that the philly show was surreal… I had second row seats and the venue was an orchestra hall… what a show and a treat for bruce to offer it up…

KeymasterSo now that people have been grabbing these shows, what do you make of them?
I was at the Copenhagen show, and I’m keen to hear it again.

ParticipantSo I just got word that the 2004 CD’s are put on hold. I’m not sure what’s up exactly, but there’s some talk going on with Columbia about stuff. It’s something that Bruce’s team, and Columbia have to work out. The 2002 stuff is still up for CD, and that’s because it’s on the olad label. I’m not sure exactly when the 2004 stuff will be back on CD, but let’s hope soon. Downloads are still going of course, and there’s no stopping that.
Just a word from your friendly neighborhood prof.

ParticipantSince I am NOT a techno-geek, my son downloaded the Asheville show for me for Christmas last year. I have tried my best to wear it out. That show still remains as the best Asheville show yet. I am so stoked that the Charlotte and Portsmouth shows are coming out. I initiated one of the best (if I do say so myself) on-stage dance events at the Charlotte show, and nearly froze my butt off at the Portsmouth show. Wish the Richmond show was available.

ParticipantKev,
Anyone that has placed an order will get their CD’s… it’s just that they cannot take any more orders for CD’sJuly 15, 2005 at 7:03 pm #26182Will_S
ParticipantSpeaking of the official releases, it was rather disappointing to me how chopped up some of the ’02 recordings. Does anyone on this site happen to have an audience recording of July 11 2002 to fill in the gaps on what was otherwise my favorite release?
If anyone needs patches for the Westbury or Ahseville shows, PM me and I can set you up with audience versions of the missing tracks.
