ParticipantDave/Si…. we could even do it for free!!! They have a 14-day free trial option (http://www.webex.com/ft/index.php?TrackID=1017640&hbxref=http%3A%2F%2Fwebex.com%2F&goid=webex_ft). Unlimited meetings with up to 25 people attending. Si would just have to use their “record the meeting” feature, or hook his gear into his computer’s audio, to get his raw material for the podcast. I’m liking this more and more….

KeymasterThis all sounds great, and not to put a dampener on things, but I will not be putting myself on video (even if I had the means!) and Bruce will not be joining us. The conference call between us sounds good (and thanks for looking into it), but that’s as far as we’ll go!
cheers
– Si.

We talk a little about the planned “conference call”, some ideas for the future, and more about a Daily Dose Day.
Oh and some great music.

ParticipantAnother brilliant show, Si! Including Tails is just fantastic! As for the whole Webex deal, just tell me when to be there and I’ll make sure I’m set up for it!
Thanks for your continued effort on this project, Si. It’s a real winner!

Looking forward to it.

KeymasterWe’re back with Episode 6 of Talk of the Town, would have been sooner but for some technical problems… we have some of your e-mails, site and podcast news (including the upcoming chat with Bruce), and music from 2004 – not to mention Bruce’s cover band from Denmark!
Download now from iTunes or http://sitwi.podbean.com/2010/05/03/que … d-answers/
Fun ensues.

ParticipantExcellent episode this week, Si! Bruce’s personality and wit shining through!
Oh, and that version of “Take out the Trash” is downright nasty!
Thanks for all your efforts putting this together!

ParticipantSi,
A belated Congratulations on these incredible podcasts! I finally just subscribed, so I can be sure I won’t miss an episode.
Life has gotten in the way a bit, and I haven’t posted much lately to the Board, but I’m always lurking. Great to hear Bruce has a unique idea in mind for another spin on the “jazz language.” Jazz + modern classical??? Should be interesting…
Cheers,

ParticipantVictor,
It’s really great to hear from you. We’ve missed your presence here on the Board.I hope the events keeping you away from the board are positive-if not, I sincerely hope things take a turn for the better.
I’m also intrigued about Bruce’s “next” jazz record. No matter which styles he decides to employ, the results will be lively.

ParticipantBest line of the 2nd interview: Bride of the Noisemakers 😆
Very much looking forward to a new live CD (hopefully double CD) from the guys. A solo piano record is also going to be fun! Best of all, it sounds like Bruce intends to hit the road running in 2011 in support of the new release(s).

Davarino: Do you mean SMP the song, or SMP, the crazy Coloradan? (She’s best in small doses
)
Tri-molo: “Bride of the Noisemakers,” like “Son of Schenectady.”

ParticipantVic/Victor/Victoria, will the real Victor please stand up??
Vic, that was pretty funny what you said to Mr. David P. Day. Now just admit it, you can’t get enough of me. 🙄 I miss you hosebags but hopefully we can all make up for it next year!!
SMP, the real person, not the song

ParticipantTo quote John Astin, “I went away for a little while, but I’m feeling much better now”.
Quick update— still unemployed… interviewing an average of once a week but still getting shot down…unemployment insurance runs out in two weeks…sucks to be me 🙄 …
BUT my son finally got his dream job!!! Manufacturing engineer at Cree (LED lighting innovator), starting at (gasp!) $60,000…he just bought a new car…he is moving to a new apartment next month…he and his fiance should be setting the date any time now
…is it too early for him to start taking care of ME?
SO, what’s this I hear of upcoming Bruce releases???? Has anyone actually SEEN D.B. on “Sesame Street”? I caught a really cool view of Bobby Read on the Today show a while back, playing back-up with Sting, even having his hornwork featured prominently in one song.

KeymasterJust checking in… is anyone willing to suggest a date for this conference call?

Then…..It must be the former! 😆
A “daily dose” of SMP, the “crazy Coloradan”, would give you “brain damage”! 😆
Still havin’ a ball!
