ParticipantI’m sure this has been asked before…but its new to me and I need some help.
Si just recently signed me up and this is the problem I’ve been having.
When I click on the link to load the song it automatically opens up Microsoft Windows Media player…which just loads the song and doesn’t give me a way to actually save it. Is there a way to actually save the songs? It would be great if there is a way to do this.
As a Bruce Fan..gotta have all the songs I can…LOL!
Thanks for anyone who can helpMonica

KeymasterWhich Internet browser are you using? Internet Explorer?
Is anyone else having the same problem?

ParticipantI’m using IE7 and don’t have any problems. Left-clicking on the link brings up a box asking me “Do you want to open this file or save?” Right-clicking brings up the menu that includes the option to “Save target as…” which also works.
Monica, have you tried saving the file once the song is opened and playing in Media Player? This would be an alternative if either of the above don’t work.

ParticipantHi all …
Thanks for helping. I am using Internet Explorer 7.
When I right click all I get is open target link…and it opens it in windows media player..and the only thing in media player I’m allowed to do is add to playlist..but it doesn’t actually save the file..it just saves the file link which in return you have to reload the file again from the source.September 26, 2007 at 1:34 am #29252David Day
ParticipantIf you save it to your “desk top” as your “target”, it will always be on you “desk top” menu. That way Bruce can wake you up in the morning and put you to sleep at night!

ParticipantI know how to save the Daily Doses with Internet Explorer but I do most of my web surfing these days with Mozilla Firefox. I can set Firefox to open certain sites with IE but I guess that the nonconformist in me doesn’t want to give Microsoft any more play than it already has. Does anyone know how to save the Doses with Firefox?
Thanks,
Larry

Just use Real Player instead of Microsoft Media Player. Pin it to your desk top menu! That way it’s always there to put you sleep at night and wake you up in the morning!

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion David, but I found a way to answer my own question. 😯
If you use Mozilla Firefox, you can download the extension Download Embedded at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1993. Once the extension is installed, just click the little red down arrow in the bottom right corner of the browser and select “download all embedded items” and then let it go. After the dose is downloaded you can then open it in any MP3 player you like.
I hope that this helps other stubborn folks like me.
