Amazing concert!
This was my third Bruce concert, but my first solo piano concert. I couldn’t believe the things he could do with that piano! Sometimes, there was more going on in the music than I could take in. I loved it when he broke out into Bach in the middle of — what was it? Spider Fingers? He made the Bach sound easier than what he was already playing!
So who else was there? Any thoughts?
Turnout?
How was the turnout in Malibu? I noticed both Si and the official site made the call-out for last-minute ticket sales. Ticket price looked a bit steep; maybe that was site-specific?
Was it a charity event? Maybe they were taking donations to re-build Suzanne Somers’ beach house.

The room was tiny — maybe 300 people? — but packed.
The ticket price was, indeed, dauntingly steep, but you did get a free copy of “Intersections.” It made for a somewhat older (including me), better-dressed (not including me), but more sedate (no comment) crowd.
There was no charity involved as far as I could see.
