Didn’t have too much of a problem getting it to BH — after the Brew finished clearing their gear off the stage, I noticed a middle-aged tall gentleman (who looked like he was waiting for something) standing on the steps directly in front of BH’s piano, so I stood next to him! That’s real “Hey, I’ll do that TOO” attitude!
Not two minutes later some dude with a pass came out and took our requests — I said “Hey, thanks a lot,” and he replied “No, thank YOU.” Heh.

I must say that BH’s policy of ‘no setlists/bring your requests’ really got my appreciative goat — not only does the policy have the potential to satisfy most fans, it also enables the band to pursue ‘new musical adventures’ every night they play…that’s very cool.

Speaking of dancing, ya shoulda seen the stage at Lowell 8/14…like CGessner said, I believe, when they played “Jacob’s” at first there was nobody, then the whole front was inundated with chicks a’dancing…and a couple of dudes, which was somewhat comical…

The black rat will probably get his attention…but it seems like BH likes to play his faves, and/or material which has been recently released…fr’instance, I e-pestered him (thru the BH site) about how much I dug “Camp Meeting” and how I was gonna see BH and the NM at Lowell…he wrote back saying that I should request some o’ those tunes. So perhaps it ain’t the lipstick, so much as it is the pig (or in this case, the rodent)…if ya know what I mean? Ask BH to play something he could work into one of the concert chestnuts, and he seems to go crazy wit’ that.

But hey…seeing as how “Black Rats” is new and unreleased, you’ll probably get it. I was gonna ask him to segue from “Rats” to some Thin Lizzy — like their version of “Whiskey In The Jar” or “Roisin Dubh(The Black Rose)” but figured that out of what I was asking for, I’d be pushing my luck. (As it was, he played some Ravel, some Ornette, and “King of The Hill” so I was more than pleased….)

Sweet! Mrs. Molo3’s request at Biltmore for “Kuntrie Dokter” made it to collage #19. Looking forward to St. Louis (her b-day) and possibly more shows if Bruce & Co. stay on I-64E
