ParticipantOK, I haven’t been on this board as much as I used to, or as much as I ought to. Still, I’m surprised to see no thread about the salivate project. I guess y’all are so bummed out that I wasn’t able to get anything done in time to have it included that you figured it wasn’t worth commenting on? How sweet of you. I’ve been listening to it a bunch lately, and I am REALLY digging the interpretations of Bruce’s music. I love it that such a talented group of musicians has once again decided to put their own stamp on the songs instead of doing a note-for-note copy of the records. What a creative bunch. I wanted to see everyone’s impressions – favorites, “wow!” moments, etc. I’m typing this while I’m on the bus going to work, so I’ll save up my impressions today as I listen to it while working, and post it when I get the chance.

I wanted to see everyone’s impressions – favorites, “wow!”I’m glad to see you’re alive and well! And yes…..I was disappointed that you didn’t “step up to the plate” and contribute! I personally was hoping that you would! The “C of B” did all he could do to announce what was “comin’ down the pike”! 😆
On the other hand…..The “interpretations” are the best ever! They really are! And you’re right! What a “talented group of musicians”!
As far as “favorites”…..I guess it all comes down to which song you listen to the most? Some are already icons on my desktop!
As far as “impressions”…..I’m all for it! 😆
Still havin’ a ball!

KeymasterI couldn’t pick a favourite if I spent all day considering it! I guess iTunes gives it away by listing how many times each of them have been played… but I really do like them all.
The Bruuuce.com community is a very creative bunch and I’d like to think that some of the interpretations were put together in ways that wen Bruce would never have seen coming.
With all due respect and gratitude to previous contributors, I think this was my favourite project yet.

See… I don’t contribute, and it’s your favourite!!!! I’m glad I could help out in my small way 🙄 I promise I’ll ruin the next one for you
I’ve been playing it a lot, too. I’ve got a few tracks that I tend to play a bit more than others, but I do really like them all. Do I dare risk mentioning which, or shall I be as reluctant as David and Si are?

I think if you started the conversation, others would “chime in” as well!
I can’t speak for Si, but….Seeing that this is the best ever……It would probably be “politically correct” for someone else to start this debate! I don’t think that any of the musicians would be hurt at all by what you, as well as others, say! The fact that everyone seems to be “reluctant” to respond to your question, speaks volumns to the “creativity” and “quality” of all the songs!
Don’t get me wrong……I have my favs and I’m sure Si does as well, but…..This was so “creative”, that it is so very hard to just to name one or two!
So…..I say all that to say…..You go first! 😆 Who knows…..You might like it! 😆 I’m sure I will as well!
DDD! You don’t want to miss it! You really don’t!
You will salivate over Salivate! You really will!
Still havin’ a ball!

ParticipantCurious to know if there’s been any response from Bruce to the new cover album? He’s a busy puppy, as usual, these days, but he’s never failed to respond before. Any word at all? Has anyone heard from him?

KeymasterThe delay would be my fault – the one I mailed out got returned. I don’t’ think it made it out of the country!
I’ll be in the US next month so I”ll hand him one personally.
