    Hi everyone
Got back yesterday from VA and I must say, I was very impressed with the musical and how all the songs fit in with the story line. I got there in time (just in time) for Sunday’s rehearsal so that was my first experience. Got to talk with Bruce for a bit and he said they’re always improving on things and changing things up to make it better. I enjoyed the 4 piece band that is performing the music. It’s weird to hear his music being played by other people but they did a good job. While I noticed some things that could use improvement like hearing the singers better, Tues was an improvement from Sunday’s performance and I’m sure it will only get better as each day goes by. I had a lot of favorite scenes but won’t spill the beans (hey, that rhymed) for those that are planning on going. If you’re on the fence about going, GO!! It’s worth it!!

Met up with Kat and Carey for a few days and had a wonderful time. And I didn’t get arrested for obnoxious behavior so that made it doubly nice. :D

p.s. no photo’s are allowed during the performance.

It was a real treat to be able to see the first preview of SCKBSTD. It’s a very good story that weaves the songs together in a very creative way. It works beautifully and it takes you by surprise to learn the context in which some of the songs are performed. Mary and Carey saw the dress rehearsal on Sunday but were careful not to drop a single hint to me as to what happens in the show. I’m glad they didn’t because it’s engrossing to watch the story unfold.

There’s a lot of emotion for the audience to relate to. The cast is very good and of course the songs are wonderful (but we knew THAT).

They’re still tweaking the show this week during previews, so it will be interesting to see what has changed when I see the show again on Friday.

Like Mary said, no audience photos were allowed. But you can see a series of pictures from the show here…

Thanks for the reports, guys — and for the link, Kat. I guess I’ve missed a lot of Facebook updates.

I’m digging the stage design and quality look of the proceedings. Wish I could be there…. :(

And that Bob Cuccioli plays one creepy-looking BSTD! ;-)
