KeymasterI don’t know whether The Professor wants to out himself here, but he is certainly in a position where he would know!

ParticipantWoohoo! I can hardly wait!!!

Participantwell, I don’t really know anything… I just know people who know people…
But please feel free to ask anything you’d like… well, anything that reasonable…

KeymasterThe Professor is being modest – he can take full credit for the live CD initiative. It was his idea, and his persistence, which led to countless live releases over the years… which is why he finds himself in the Bruuuce.com Hall of Fame!

ParticipantI always thought Charlotte was a great show! This just confirms my hunch. I”m aquiver with anticipation…

Woodinville (Seattle) WA 7/15 (one song omitted – way it is)Too bad this is being omitted – it’s the source for the 2006 Request of the Year!
Maybe Wayne or Damon could sneak it to Simon on the sly and it could be included in Daily Dose Day??? 😉March 1, 2007 at 12:42 am #28067Brody3665
ParticipantSOUNDS GREAT!!
Thanks Professor for the news!!!

ParticipantProfessor,
Okay, first of all, why this handle???? Gotta be a story…….Since you are the “be all to end all” (or does that just date me????) of the concert scene…
Will Bruce be doing anything for the Jamestowne 400th Anniversary in May???? I heard Colin Campbell (pres. of Colonial W’burg) say about a year ago that Bruce would be “spearheading the music scene” for the celebration, but when I asked Mama Hornsby about it last summer (I’m still waiting for SOMEONE to ask me to tell THAT story) at The Blue Talon, she said she hadn’t heard a word about it yet. I’ll be there, if nothing else but to meet the Queen and see the Magna Carta. Sure would love to squeeze a Hornsby concert in to the week.March 1, 2007 at 8:25 pm #28070Si Twining

ParticipantWell, Si,
I wasn’t expecting an answer from you…….Hey, wait a minute…….
Is this one of those Michael Jackson/Janet Jackson things where you never saw the two of them together because they are really the same person?????? Is Si the professor????????
:
: 😉
March 1, 2007 at 9:24 pm #28072the professor
Participantuh… can I be janet???
professor… well, I got that one a long time ago on dead tour… I was the guy with all the answers about any set list… that’s what I do, I’m a geek, and I love it…
the disc are in, and they are being entered into the database, ripped, snipped, and mastered into normal audio cd’s (redbook format for those who like to use the lingo of the industry)
lot’s of work to do, so I’m going back to my hole in the ground, listening for any snippet, and getting this up and ready as fast as I can…
it’s going to take a week folks… so everyone all at once… breathe, breathe in the air… oops… wrong band…
March 1, 2007 at 9:35 pm #28073Allisa
Participantwell, then, if you’re Janet, you’ve got to flash us so we know you’re for real!
downloads up first, right D?

ParticipantGreat news!
This is great news, but what about the gigs that were in the running for bruuuce.com Show of the Year — ?
Vienna, VA – August 24 2006
Knoxville, TN – December 3 2006
Glenside, PA – November 9 2006Any word on them?
Thanks,
VicMarch 1, 2007 at 11:12 pm #28075the professor
ParticipantWell, I’d flash ya, but it’s not gonna be a pretty sight…
As for any other shows… well, it’s all on what Bruce likes, and what he doesn’t mind being released. He’s a true artist, and like any true artist, they can be quite particular about their body of work.
That being said, ya never know what will come out of the Hornsby camp… I’m just happy to get what I can…
So there are a few shows that Bruce is checking out now… which ones… who knows… all I can say is stay tuned… the party is just getting started…

Kelseyville CA 7/19 (2 songs omitted – Way it is and Resting place)Just thought I’d mention this is my favorite show among all the ones I’ve ever been to, or heard on tape. Top it off with Bonnie Raitt sitting in for the encore, and my 5th row center recording to fill in the missing songs and…get this one!!!
March 2, 2007 at 4:25 am #28079PianoManKD
ParticipantThat must have been a great show to see from the 5th row!

ParticipantI thought I do something different, and I’d let you kidz decide what show you want up 1st… odds are it’s going to be the kelsyville show that Will was 5th row at.
So suggest what you will… I’m working on them now, and it’s going to take a few days to get them ready.
And lola… you know I’d never tease you…

I doubt I can make it to VA (but I’ll try). I already have tickets to the show in Princeton.

Just as a personal preference, I’d love to see Lowell up first, but only because I was there!

The coolest part was seeing Bonnie Raitt watching the show in the third row and spotting an unused guitar amp sitting on the stage just waiting for the encore….
(Spotted her in front of me at the Feb 3 solo show this year as well, but obviously she didn’t take the stage. Could have been really cool, like some of the 98 Yoshi’s shows with just Kimock, if she had…)
