    Hi folks.

I’m having a bit of an experiment with a song on my next CD.

Here is a note I posted on my facebook page…

    OK.

Further to the post above here is a link to part of a new track from the next cd called Sails and Bridges.

    http://www.daverichband.com/sailsandbridgesoutro.mp3

The idea I have is to get lots of people singing the “sails and bridges” line – but I’m not looking just for decent singers. The whole idea of the song is connecting with people so I’m after voices good, bad or just OK.

If you have the means to record yourself then you can email me the .mp3 or .flac of just your voice (no backing track with it) to dave@daverichband.com

Audio quality has to be reasonable, in that theres not too much distortion and not too much noise, but remember this is more about the idea of communication rather than the quality of it.

Please make the mp3 at least 192kbs quality (256kbs ideally).

I’ll credit all the singers on the album notes.

Looking forward to your submissions! :)

    Kind Regards

    Dave Rich

    Okay……

I thought I was at least marginally computer adept, but this whole posting is alien to me…

The only part I got was that you didn’t want all “professional” voices. Hey , that’s me!!!!

As much as I would dearly love to be a part of any of your endeavors, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have the foggiest idea where to start. Especially since the last time I sang in public was in the alto section of the choir way back in ’75…

Well do you have a mic that you talk to people online with?

    Kind regards
