mine would have to be the one with Ricky Skaggs,Vince Gill, and Bela Fleck at the Ryman. I was also fortunate enough to be at that tv taping and it was PHENOMENAL. I’d love to get my hands on that show. They did Valley Road, Goin’ Down The Road Feelin’ Bad, White Wheeled LImosine and Mandolin Rain if I’m not mistaken.
Mine would have to be The Road Not Taken at the writers convention when Bruce explains the history and background to the song…

I would have to agree with countrydoctor that the Ricky Skaggs at the Ryman was the best one. I would definitely like to hear the rest of that concert, especially going down the road feelin bad.

on the “Goin’ Down the Road” Skaggs added a verse, I’m sure from the old traditional song.
can’t remember exactly how it went, something like
“I’d rather drink muddy water, sleep in a hollow log”
and some other “feed me on cornbread and beans” lyric. I’d never heard them before.and yeah, the White Wheeled with Bela was nothing short of incredible.
I went to that taping with my now ex-wife and her brother and some friends. We VHS taped the show when it aired. May be super long shot but I”ll see if I can find it. If so, if anyone can tranfer VHS to disc I’ll gladly send it to them.
