Which do you like better?
Band shows or solo shows?

Lake Lanier, GAI prefer band shows for two reasons – I enjoy seeing all the guys again, and the second reason is likely to take me on an off-topic rant about crowd behaviour. Suffice to say, I actually sensed tension in the crowd, and on-stage, at a couple of solo shows last year.

Quote:Suffice to say, I actually sensed tension in the crowd, and on-stage, at a couple of solo shows last year.I attended several of the midwest solo shows this past year and there was definitely a noticeable difference in both the audience’s and Bruce’s mood from show to show (usually directly proportionate to the amount of people loudly yelling out “Jack Straw!!!” at completely inopportune times). I think that “tension” is exactly the way to put it. It really irritates me that such potentially great shows can be so quickly ruined for fans and performers alike.
With regard to the original topic, I enjoy both types of shows, of course, but while solo shows give me abolute chills, the band shows do get me more fired up. It is so much fun watching the interplay between Bruce & the band. And I love trying to figure out which song/key/crazy direction they’re going to take off to next.
