It’s time for a full report!
Bottom line……..I can’t do it! 😆 I’ve tried and tried, but I just can’t do it! 😆 It is very difficult!
I can do the left and I can do the right, but……I just can’t put them together! 😆
It reminds me of a song I once heard!
“It’s just a little hand trick
A little prestidigitation
Better get out your Hanon
Practice and repetition”……..I need to train harder! 😆
Any other suggestions?

ParticipantHere’s another question for you “two hand independence” guys and gals.
Whenever I attempt “Spider Fingers”, my dog (an Old English Sheep Dog), runs upstairs and hides. 😆 Can’t get away fast enough! 😆
Whenever I attempt “Circus on the Moon”, she is contempt to just lay on the couch and listen.
What is it with “Spider Fingers” that makes her run and hide? 😆
David Day
Lake Lanier, GAPS I can’t play either one of them so they both are equally bad! 😆

Participantpossibly a resonance in the room which is seated in the area of her basket – you could be hammering her brain with sonic torture when playing that one key again and again.
Kind regards

Should I use Spider Fingers as doggie discipline?
(For all you animal lovers, I’m just kidding! 😆 )

I agree with Daverich. Gotta be that hammering G tone repeating and resonating….Or maybe it’s that I have attempted that song for the last 3 years for hours at a time…(don’t feel bad about not gettin it, David!)
Prestidigitations!

Great oneWhat’s the “heads up” for? “Circus on the Moon” “daily dose” or the fact you don’t even want to hear me attempt it? 😆

I just love a man who’s short on words! 😆
Have you ever tried it?
:
Can you do the take off on “Circus”?
Be honest! 😆
I have a great idea! 💡 On the next “Ceasar Salad”, or whatever it will be called, do it!
Will you step up to the plate and accept the challenge?
: I think you can do it!

I am honest enough to admit my limitations. A long time ago, I made my peace with the fact that my right hand is far better than my left hand, and that I might never achieve “two hand independence.” However, for the sake of the challenge, I might try to find some way to slip something along those lines (a.k.a. throw you a bone, feeble as it may be) into my arrangement of The Chill. It’s still taking shape, so there’s lots of room for doinking around with it.

I hope you know I was just kidding you! 😆 I don’t know if anyone can do the take off on “Circus” except for Bruce. Maybe daverich, or daveR or even Todd can step up to the plate!
Anyone accept the challenge?

On a another note, no pun intended 😆 , the Mid-Life Crisis lives! 😆 More of a guitar/organ type of band. I’m struggling to come up with something. Any ideas?

ParticipantOh David, David…
“Any takers on the Circus on the Moon…”
I appreciate your confidence that one of us might actually pull it off! If I attempted, you’d have to re-name Caesar Salad and call it something like “Chopped Bleu Cheese Salad” or “Sad Moove”!
I can play the first few lines of the solo interlude, but after that, Bruce goes crazy! If I could actually DO that, I would be touring myself! You’ve no doubt heard the new Jazz CD? Lots of two-handed goings-on there. Charlie & Woody should get a Grammy! It is astounding!
Seriously, though, if you take Circus and SLOW it down via Media Player or some such, it can help you at least figure out what notes are being played in each hand.
Happy Prestidigitations friend! Good luck with Mid-Life! (tell me about it…)

Lake Lanier, GAhmmmm.
I think if I did it I would do what I suspect Bruce does most of the time – just jam around that idea and that chord structure.
I’m happy to have a stab at it though, and I do need to think of something to do for the next tribute cd. –
Kind regards

I have all the faith in the world that you can do it!
It sounds like a good challenge for you. Go for it and make it so!

Participantall the recording is now done,- but I can’t edit it yet ‘cos we’ve got electricians in the studio today.
Brian recorded a lovely Jazzy guitar solo last night,- kinda like a cross between Clapton and Metheny, very tasty indeed.
We’ve also started gigging the tune, people seem to really like it even though they’ve never heard it before – so often the way with bruce’s stuff.
Kind regards
Dave Rich.
