ParticipantAw, c’mon – you have to tell the whole class!

ParticipantThis same AP interview appeared in my Sunday newspaper on September 2nd. Different picture, though…
Allisa
ParticipantIt’s on the “Noisemakers” CD disc 1, track 7 as a segue from Jacob’s Ladder…..
Allisa
ParticipantI know! I know! The ‘original’ is a little more alliterative, though…
Allisa
ParticipantMmmmmm – I love s’mores!
Allisa
Participantmine shipped 7/31 – maybe I’ll get it by Friday?
Allisa
ParticipantAwwwww, shoot! I was gonna buy all y’all a pitcher of beer/bottle of wine at the Cafe Portofino, but I got caught up in our garage sale, besides packing up house to move at the end of the month!
Hope you guys had a great time (I’m sure you did), and one of these years I’ll make it “back East” for a show!

ParticipantSome encouraging news in the guestbook on the bh.com site: http://www.brucehornsby.com/reply.php

We tape them, and if they are really strong we release them for sale through Munck Music. The ban on taping is not permanent. Ricky Skaggs & company do not allow taping, for one thing. Thanks for being interested.Allisa

ParticipantMore fun with google maps!
I’m not sure what Si had in mind when he started this thread a year ago, but over the past few months I’ve plotted everyone who has responded to a google map: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=111852320493596564823.00000111c2ee3646b16f3&ll=42.959952,-55.26088&spn=104.762312,232.382813&z=2&om=1
I can add your picture, email, whatever you’d like to your placemark if you want – just PM me! Or, if you’d rather be removed, let me know, too.
Disclaimer: all locations are generic – I put the placemark wherever google said the city/town name was. If I happened to place the marker right on your house (or your ex-wife/husband’s, secret girlfriend/boyfriend’s, etc.), it is purely coincidental!

ParticipantHi Luke,
I think since Bruce has put a temporary kibosh on taping, Si has removed the torrent section of the forum for now. Another place you can seed, though, is here: http://bt.etree.org/index.php and then post a message in the forum somewhere so we can all go fetch it!
Welcome aboard!

I’d be willing to chair a Congressional Panel for New Pants (CPNP) if anyone else wants to chip in on these: http://www.cordarounds.com/catalog/sale.html (and they’re even on sale!)
Seriously! I’d suggest the blue for Bruce (I have a pair of the khakis myself) so they’d have a chance of making it on stage, since his preferred ‘uniform’ seems to be blue jeans and black shirt. These are really cool pants – the ‘cords’ go sideways instead of up and down – and I bet we could get Will_S to deliver them in person to the jazz gig in SF on 8/23.
Anybody else with me?
(P.S. Happy Independence Day to all us Yanks!)

ParticipantThanks for the link, Dana. Too bad the interviewer doesn’t know Bruce very well!
“Even though he’s known as a pop music, you know, songwriter, pianist, singer…” Pop?!? – maybe in the old days
Fortunately Jack came to Bruce’s defense: “but he’s actually very, very broad in his musical taste…”“You threw him in the deep end here. I mean we’re hearing this Thelonius Monk classic here, ‘Straight No Chaser’…” (sigh)
Allisa
ParticipantHere’s one: “Got to get my Bruuuce on!”

ParticipantHere are a couple links Aaron mentioned in another post: ”The Way It Is”audio and a cell phone vid with the governor on harmonica on “Jacob’s Ladder”
There are rumored to be other clips – if I find ’em I’ll post ’em!
