ParticipantVic’s age
Oh, Vic – you crack me up! My dad just turned 71 and he’s pretty darn fly, too.
I’d love to make it to some east coast shows, but unfortunately they’re a little too far from my northwest home (and way too far for my wallet to stretch right now, too). I’ll just have to make do with getting my fix in Seattle in 10 days! Woohoo!!!

ParticipantSo Victor – are you really 76? You sound pretty hip for an old guy! ;o) 😉

ParticipantLooks like the boxed set is now available for pre-order from Amazon:

haha yes she was. It was a big moral dilemma, she didn’t want to leave but really needed to. I reassured her he would jam for at least 10 more minutes, not thinking he would do what he did. Gotta love it though
Okay you guys, you’ll have to elaborate a little more on this (and the whole concert, for that matter) for those of us that weren’t there!

ParticipantFedEx ground is usually even cheaper than USPS media mail!

ParticipantReno and Boise now show on Pollstar, but are still absent from bh.com.
And isn’t it just my luck – Bruce finally comes to my state (Idaho), but the wrong darn end of it! I live in the north end and Boise/Eagle is about 450 miles south. Luckily Seattle is only about 5 hours away so I’ll get to see them there in July!!!

Participantwhat…we can’t be both? 😆
just kidding!!!
Simon is pretty good at squashing spam, so usernames with a higher number of posts are probably legit. (of course, that doesn’t account for the blurkers, but I guess they’re just looking anyways) Welcome!

ParticipantMy thought, although not too far out there, is that the bluegrass version of Jacob’s Ladder is very reminiscent (to me at least) of Paul Simon’s “Graceland”. It would be interesting to hear them quote from that – especially with a nice, meaty bass-line for JV!

ParticipantHi Ellen,
try right-clicking on the link and a menu should pop up where you can choose “Save Target As…”.
Allisa
ParticipantOooo! Oooooo! How ’bout big band? Get a big, meaty brass section behind them and Bobby on bari sax to jam with JV – mmmmm mmmmm tasty!
(a few songs on “Hot House” come pretty close)

ParticipantMaybe he’ll be giving a master class that day, too!

ParticipantHi Erin,
welcome to Bruuuce! On the main site, https://bruuuce.com , Simon puts up a “daily dose” of a live Bruce track that you can download (mp3). He checks this forum for requests and will usually get them up in a day or so.

JonathanThanks to Allisa I’ve got myself a version of this from a 2004 show so no need to dose, unless you particularly want to.
I’m listening to the 2/20/05 show from Dallas right now and they did it there, too.

ParticipantI bet we’d all end up just sittin’ around shootin’ the breeze the whole time!

ParticipantC’mon people – let’s feel the love! I didn’t see any tapers at the Seattle 7/27/05 show, but I wasn’t looking that hard. However, I did see at least 3 mic rigs at the Portland 7/29/05 show. Any chance one of those will show up on etree anytime soon? Pretty please?

Participantnew Twining
So is Jasper Mark Stephen Twining your progeny, Simon, or a nephew?

ParticipantWill_S wrote:Si, I seem to have to re-login every time I visit the site if I want to download a dose, even though I have cookies enabled. Is there any way to stay logged in for those who don’t mind persistent cookies?I second that! The forum remembers me, but the main page for doses does not.
