The Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music Program at the University of Miami is gearing up for this year’s FestivalMiami. One of the most popular events is the annual Songwriters Showcase, which features student songwriters who are judged by a professional panel, including Bruce. The winning songwriter gets to open the FestivalMiami concert headlined by Lamont Dozier the following night. Treat yourself to an evening of fresh and youthful new music. If you love music by The Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, and Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, then put this concert on your calendar. Lamont Dozier is the songwriter behind 54 number one hits, including “Baby Love”, “Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch” and “Baby I Need Your Loving.” Look for Bruce to make a guest appearance ….! Edit from Bryan – note that these aren’t really ‘official’ tour dates. However, they are 2010 public appearances of Bruce, so I thought it best to post them here. I hope you guys and gals aren’t too mad…Here’s a great article (a must-read) about Kathy, Bruce and Melissa.
You folks are wayyyy too nice. We’ll see what the future holds – I’ve not been kicked to the curb, just waiting to see what the next steps are. I’ll let you know – and no matter what it’s always been a great ride and I’ve been treated better than I deserve!

Due to unexpected personal issues and safety concerns regarding international flights, regrettably, Bruce Hornsby is forced to cancel his solo piano dates in the U.K. and Europe.
Once new concert dates are available, I’ll be sure to post them.

The Christmas songs Bruce performed, at the very end of the show were “O Come All Ye Faithful” with a little bit of “The Christmas Song” sprinkled at the end – both piano instrumental only.
