ParticipantO.K. I gotta fess up, I made a mistake yesterday. I went back to listen to that dose last night and found out it was a completely different song that played. 😮 So this is embarrassing but you know how you pick the song – play it and go back to one of the 4 or 5 other windows open. It’s not like you sit and stare 🙄 at the song playing on the player so I found out after I clicked on that particular date 082199 it just skipped me down to the song beneath it (which sounded very Ivesian by the way). So what I’m trying to say is – nevermind – don’t call me 😆 I’ll call you. The dose that played was still damn fine, but it waddn’t the Skyline from ’99.
May I please add my name to the list of people who would be interested in catching a copy of this?

I guess you could call me and I could play it over the phone! 😆Wish I could help out more – sorry and good luck.

ParticipantRe: An Interesting Review About The Recent Salt Lake City Sh
That’s definately not what we experienced at Red Butte Garden on Wednesday night. All I’ll say is the near capacity crowd felt a bit sad that the music ever ended. Bruce, Bobby, Doug D., J.V., J.T., Sonny, Bela, The F Man, Mr. Wooten, and Howie the Harp Man put on quite a show. So what if there were covers, they were not done in the usual way. It was the most beautiful night and to tell you the truth we didn’t want it to ever end.
Now for the froofy fruifs @ Salt Lake Rag – Jeremy P.U. – something stinksI think Bruce might call them jewelry rattlers’ and wouldn’t give a rats’ ***. But I guess to write for this lot you must be a rock-snob – above it all. Let’s face it most of the time people like this just don’t get it. Thats my opinion anyway. Here is who this Magazine caters to . . .
About JES Publishing
Headquartered in prestigious Boca Raton, Fla., JES Publishing Corporation has been publishing Salt Lake magazine since 1981, along with several specialty advertisement, non-subscription-based annual publications designed to increase awareness and generate revenue for specific clients. These publications include The Convention Visitors Bureau Guide; The Downtown Alliance guide; Park City Life magazine; The Canyons publication, a resort guide. The company also publishes Boca Raton, Utah Style and Design, Utah Bride and Groom, and Delray Beach magazines.
JES Publishing’s flagship magazines are upscale lifestyle magazines geared to an affluent and well-educated reader with an average household income of $355,000 in Boca Raton and an average of $190,000 in Salt Lake City, according to a 2006 survey by Research USA.I don’t particularly like S.L. magazine – but I love City Weekly. And Si, I never got a chance to tell you thanks for the incredible DOSE Day! Loved it – good luck topping that in the future. I hope you are doing well. Treah I know you would love people at Red Butte – very nice folks – I promise. Wish I could provide a set list – but I can’t. 1st song was Across The Great Divide . . . And lastly – Bela opened for Bruce – so they must trade off every other show or something.

ParticipantColbie Caillat . . . “Coco” Colbie seems to be a natural, doesn’t she?
Plumb . . . “Blink” Tiffany Arbuckle came up with the name “Plumb” from a song by Suzanne Vega. I have always loved her voice and even though she is singing to her babies on this new album, I think ‘big babies’ like Rich and David could like it. (Well, actually, probably not.) Hey, didn’t the molomolomolos’ just have a baby? And oh yeah, Melissa too! Hope you and your little ones are doing well.
Annie Lennox . . . “Songs of Mass Destruction” Just like Bruce, Annie just gets better with time. She looks and sounds incredible.
I got James Taylor’s . . . “One Man Band” for Christmas (one of those gifts you know that the ‘giver’ actually wanted for themself!) ; ( But it’s all right, cause I’d rather listen to Bruce wing it in Switzerland on “Close Your Eyes” anyway. Now that’s a one man band!

ParticipantMegan, thanks for sharing those. I would like to say my sentiments exactly. Oh! Except for the fact that when I first heard “The Way It Is” I was in a car, so it’s a good thing I was sitting down. On my earlier posting I was trying to spice things up and see if I could get anybody riled up. I think I “See the Same Way” as everyone else, and find it impossible to pick just ten songs. But I think it is fun to see what everyone likes, and maybe eventually we will have the chance to post our second lists.
Have a great day everyone!

ParticipantKnopfler all the way! No, of course I was thinking about Ricky and Bruce, and actually I’m not quite sure why I picked that song. Back in the day, I used to ski to Waylon and Willie and the Boys cranked up on the ol’ Walkman. I would sing “T for Texas” at the top of my lungs. The songs on the Wanted! The Outlaws album are so fun to listen to and sing along with. When Bruce sings “Nobody There But Me”, sometimes I think he sounds just like Willie.
From wine to Winehouse.
“Rehab” (winehouse) Yes!Yes!Yes! (I don’t think Bruce should cover this song, but in the video Amy’s backup band can really lay it down and play . . . and it got me thinking that Bruce can ‘bring it’ – layin’ down as well, i.e. Intersections last page photo!)

ParticipantVictor, you are making it hard for us “low profilers” to come out. Thanks alot!
If I have to find one more song . . . hmmmmm . . . I kind of like “Set Me In Motion”.
Now, will you please give us the scoop? And leave the dreaded spoon in the damn glove compartment.
Megan M: I would be interested to see what songs you like. . .

ParticipantThis is easy . . . I only like nine of Bruce’s songs, so here goes –
Across The River
Across The Great Divide
Show Goes On (heard it on “Intersections” & thought it was a new one, my husband had “SFtSS” for 12 years at his work)
Pastures of Plenty
Spider Fingers
King Of The Hill
Every Little Kiss (even though I know Bruce doesn’t like it – oh well)
Mandolin Rain (only the new version – that old one was gettin’ sooo old)
Thats Just The Way It Is (can still remember the first time I heard it)Victor: so, let’s hear your interpretation of “The Chill” (I’ve been wondering)
Si: just want to let you know how much you rock! (especially loved the daily dose yesterday mandolingoinhome 042496)
Megan M: I love your version of “I Will Walk With You” (I’ve wanted to tell you that a long time – and WOW Bobby Read)
Everyone: Happy Thanksgiving! (eat as much as you want)
Bruce: Happy Birthday! (you are gettin’ sooo old)cooleveningdancer
ParticipantYeah, it would be cool if Bruce sang these songs . . .
“We’ll Be Together” (sting) I want to hear Bruce howl like the dawg that he is in the beginning. It also could be a nice segway into Camp Meetings’ “We’ll Be Together” which I love as well.
“Just Like Heaven” (the cure) Just because I like it.
“Little Pink Houses” (john cougar) Ain’t that American?
“Yesterday’s Wine” (willie) Why not?
“And So It Goes” (billy) Joel’s got Soul.
“When She Loved Me” (randy) I don’t think Bruce should sing about short people.
