Ding! Ding! Ding! 😆 We have a winner! 😆

Have you had your “daily dose” of Stacked Mary Possum today? 😆

There is one song on this track that sounds like Bruce’s rendition of Leon Russel. 8) We’ve talked about this before in another thread, but when I first heard it, I couldn’t help but think that this is Bruce’s imitation of Leon. 8) It is very good! :D

    What song is it? :?:

Didn’t you hear that at Guiford? 😉 Or was that at Appalachian State? Or both? 8)

What about Rainbow’s Cadillac? What song in Camp Meeting does Bruce throw in? :?:

Jackie, as the Queen Bee and the King of the Hill of “name that tune”, you have disqualified yourself from that question. (I already know you know what it is.) 😉

Hey Bruce! It’s been awhile, long time ago, way back when, since I’ve made a post, so I thought it was time. Look forward to seeing you again in Atlanta in March! Even though I’m not a big fan of what us GA grads call the “North Avenue Trade School”, you will really like the venue! It has excellent acoustics! You will like it! My questions is…..what’s going on next summer? Do you have any plans for the Noisemakers? Do you realize your fans need a Noisemakers fix? Don’t get me wrong, I look forward to seeing you with Ricky in March and would love to see a SE tour of the jazz trio, but we need a Noisemakers fix! Any idea when that’s going to happen again? David Day Lake Lanier, GA

    Bruce’s Reply:
So do I [need a Noisemakers fix] — hopefully next summer. Sonny’s booked with Bette Midler in Vegas from June 24, 2008 to July 27, 2008 so maybe after that.

I hope this clarified things. If not….. I might blame it on having purchased a large cup of Pumpkin Spice Latte before I went down to see the tree lighting and fireworks in downtown Hampton this evening – or possibly the several shots of Canadian Mist that I poured into the latte before I drank it.

Now that’s it’s totaly cleared up whether it’s a preposition or an adverb and whether there’s a name for such a double run on, I can sleep better knowing that Rich has finally solved the mystery on whether squash has any redeeming social value. 😆 I’ve never thought of imbibing it in liquid form. 😆 That may have potential! 😆 😆 😆

I wonder if that is proper English or even the “Queen’s English”? :?

Is that a double prepostion or a double adverb? 😆 I forget! :? Mayby some of you literary experts would know like Vic, LolaPulsa, MVP or Rich! 😆 Is that proper English? :?:

Bruce actually does that in a song! ❗ Instead of asking what the song is like you’re use to me asking, I’ll go ahead and tell you. :D

In Swing Street, the lyrics that are sung are “Gotta thing going on on Swing Street”. :D What’s also is interesting to me is that the printed lyrics just reed “Got a thing going on Swing Street”. Which is right? :?: Which is proper English? :?:

Does this sort of mess with you brain? :?: 😆

Wow! That’s a tough one! I’ll try. Here are my top 10 as they hit me knowing I have “brain damage”! 😆

    1. Stacked Mary Possum (Have you had your “daily dose” today?)
    2. Candy Mountain Run
    3. Tango King
    4. Across the River
    5. Across the Great Divide
    6. King of the Hill
    7. Hot House
    8. Spider Fingers
    9. Pastures of Plenty
    10. Defenders of the Flag

Isn’t that interesting? None of mine matches Vic’s Top 10. Can we draw some sort of conclusion from that? :?:

Victor’s “Redux” thread got me thinking about this topic and I thought it might be interesting to revisit it. Does anyone have a particular live version of one of Bruce’s songs they really love?
My pick would be Candy Mountain Run. If he includes Children Of Zion sometime during the song-wow!
