On the other hand…..Talked to KY Theater and Molo both this evening. Seems the KY Theater only holds 800 seats and thus the expensive tickets.
On one hand……I thought about “protesting” the ticket price, but……On the other hand….I realized that an 800 seat venue for Bruce would be worth three or four times the normal price!
So….I stepped up to the plate and bought a couple tics to support Bruce!
I say all that to say…..At the end of the day, when the cows are comin’ home, there is no place that I would rather be! 😆
You don’t want to miss this! You really dont!In fact……I’ll tell you what I will do! Just send me a private message if you need some form of…..Call it a “scholarship” if you would. I will be more than happy to provide a “scholarship” for half your tic price for some Road Scholars and Road Warriors that may need some assistance!
Please understand that, from my understanding, Bruce had no input to the ticket price, but would be more than happy to help a Road Warrior or Road Scholar in need!

Lake Lanier, GAI will admit there is a big “gap” in Bruce’s schedule between June 23 and July19! I will hand that to you MVF as an “olive branch”! As hard as that may be to do! 😆
The Sales Mangager at Biltmore and I went to high school together. One of my best friends from grammar school and high school is on the Board at Chastain and the Botanical Gardens. Normally, Bruuuce would play both venues “back to back” due to the proximity. So….I have “fellers” out both places and trying to be “ahead of the curve”!
Don’t get me wrong! There is nothing in the world I would rather happen! Please believe me! I’m there puttin’ my vote in! And….Your vote is there too! Keep the fatih! But……

That would be April 13, for the posting, not April 15. From what my “connections” say….No cigar this year, but you never know! They are still working on some dates and there is still hope! But, what I see of bruuuce’s schedule, it doesn’t seem to fit in the area where he has already booked for when Biltmore needs to book. Looks like Norfolk to me, but you never know! Miracles do happen!

Nashville! Did get Lost in the Snow with Ricky!
More to come on that too, but Ricky was there and it did snow that night! I did have to take a Road Not Takin’ to get home, but…..It was all well worth it! Did not make it to IN for the Friday show. Like I said before, was goin’ to keep it south of the Mason-Dixon line. Needed to deliver a couple of vintage guitars to Nashville that I’ve had in my collection for a while, but that was well worth it! One of them was a very nice 1918 “The Gibson” that I had inherited from my granddad!
One story I will share for the night……I pulled into downtown Greenville and less then one block from my hotel was Carolina Brewing Company! Get the picture! Walked in, stranger in town and the friendly people wanted to know why I was there. They had no idea, for some reason, that Bruce was there that night. Before it was over, three of them walked down with me and got tics and wanted to see the show! It was really cool!
Turned out to be Three Nights on the Town! Durham, Greenville and Nashville!

I can’t believe he finally took this request solo! And….What a great rendition it was! I’ve met soo many nice people along the way…..I’ve met Charlie, Woody & You, the King of the Hill, and so many others so far!
I’m home tonight,tired, but a good tired, but…..That Road Scholar face sure feels good!
Can’t wait for that sunrise in the morning and back on the road again! With the sunrise comes a sunset! At the end of the day when the sun is settin’ and the cows are comin’ home……There is no place I would rather be!

It’s goin’ to snow tonight, but won’t get lost in the snow! 😆
Come snow, “hell or high water”, this Road Scholar will be there! Might have to take a “detour” further thru the great state of SC, thru the “coastal route” and then come in the “back door” of NC, but……A true Road Scholar is always prepared for any obsticles that may happen along the way! 😆
I guess the moral of the story is……There is never a Road Not Takin’ for a true Road Scholar!

Bruce was doing a “solo show” in Atlanta at the Center Stage Theater! A great “intimate” venue! It just so happened that Sonny was doing his annual “drum camp” for underpriviledged kids. All the local press gets involved in this and gives it great coverage! Sonny lives in Atlanta and went to GA State where he majored in jazz…..
I knew something had to be up! A “solo show” to end Sonny’s drum camp? Couldn’t help but go! My instinct told me that this would not be a “solo show”!
What turned out to be a “solo show”, was not that at all!
All the Noiesemakers were there, with the exception of Bobby, who had another gig that night! It was incredible! Thus my favorite show!
Victor was there! Maybe Victor can chime in on this!
I guess the moral of this story is……You never know who might show for a “solo show”! Get you tickets! You don’t want to miss it! You really don’t!
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it! 😆

We had a meet-up at Boone, NC, at Appalachian State! Victor was there, MVF was suppose to be there, but…..To no surprise!……Somehow, MVF ended up on the other side of the state! 😆
We had a blast! It was good to see Vic, even though he has been hit by the “ugly stick”, after his move out “west” with his new significant other!
A good time was had by all! After our meet-up, I went back to my car to get a cigar and my tic. I just happened to be parked in the “faculty” lot behind the venue, and there was Bruce getting his “infamous black shirt” before the show!
The venue was great, Carey ended up havin’ a seat next to me on the front row taking pictures and what a great show it was! Probably the best “solo” show ever! Two encores! And on the second encore, I yelled up King of the Hill and Bruce played it!
I guess the moral of the story is……If you haven’t seen Bruce at a “solo” show, you will get a chance soon! Check it out! Who knows……You might like it!
I guess the second moral of the story is……It was great to see Victor and Carey and what a great time is was!
I guess the third moral of the story is……Bruce drove to the show from Williamsburg and I know what he drives!
Another story for another time! 😆 But until then……Still havin’ a ball!

Lake Lanier, GALong time ago…..Way back when…..We had a “meet-up” before the show at the “historical” TN Theater! Home of the Vols, the “big orange” in Knoxville, TN! Just a few blocks from the “mighty” Neyland Stadium! And….What a beautiful venue it was!
I got there early for the “meet-up” and couldn’t help but notice everyone in their orange! I’ve always said, “You can’t trust anyone who wears orange” 😆 but,…..
Here I was in “enemy terroritory” wearing my GA DAWGS red! Get the picture…..The first to show was Victor, wearing red and not orange, even though Victor is a Vol fan! Then Si showed and then Carey showed, wearing red and not even knowing that they were in “enemy terrority”!
With the exception of one other meet-up, that I will save for another time…..That was the best meet-up ever! I met Si, Victor and Carey for the first time!
The show was great! Bruce even played Tango King for me before the break, that has been a “daily dose” before of some idiot yelling “Tango King” and…..Bruce asking for me to yell it again!……You get the picture?

Long time ago, way back when…..I was at a hotel in Chattanooga, coming down the elevator, before the show at the Tivoli, with one mission in mind! Get the picture…..Two hours before the show and gosta have a Long Tall Cool One! I came out of the elevator, lookin’ for the nearest “watering hole” and…..There was Bruce and all the Noisemakers in the lobby! I couldn’t help but take a seat on a couch in the lobby, listnin’ to what they were saying. I didn’t want to bother them, but at some point, I decided to get up and go to the “boys room”. As I was comin’ out, there was Bruce comin’ in! Only Bruce and me in the “boys room”!
There’s more to the story that, but…..You get the picture! It’s story tellin’ time!
Long time ago, way back when…..I can’t help but wonder……Maybe MVF or SMP ran across him too in the “boy’s room”? 😆
