ParticipantHey I am still here and check in occasionally. Still waiting to see some more shows from 2015 get put up for download somewhere. Send me a text some time so we can catch up.

ParticipantWhat show is on dime for download? I have been waiting for more audience recordings to surface

ParticipantHow did the George Harrison song go? The set list is not too bad. I am surprised there were not any rare Dead tunes in there since I am sure they will be rehearsing soon.

ParticipantSi,
Will there be a breakdown of each track showing which solo gig they are from? I attended at least 4-5 of them over the 2 year time span

ParticipantI liked my set list pretty well. I think Prairie Dog Town is way over played and I was glad he didn’t play it. I am jealous you got a Red Plains and Defenders of the Flag. Overall, I was happy to hear Cyclone at my show. China Doll would have been cool too. Hopefully he busts that one out another time. I taped the Kentucky show if you want it. I’ll email you the link to my drop box.

I will be going to the Bruce and Noisemakers show in Ashland, KY at the Paramount Theatre. Can’t wait to hear the new sound of the band and hoping they revive some tunes that have been put on the back burner for a while. This will definitely be an exciting tour! I’m also going to see Bob Weir and Ratdog featuring Chris Robinson Band right here in Cleveland too!

ParticipantYeah, I don’t know how he wasn’t sweating like we were the whole time! Hopefully it isn’t as hot in rochester as it was there. Just a heads up on parking for the Rochester show since I’ve lived in the area most of my life, there is a parking garage not too far from the venue. That is your best bet to park since it’s indoors and they usually have a flat rate. There are some side streets around the area too that are free, but that will fill up fast. The cost is only $2 for the show which is only the facility fee and the location is in a giant parking lot.
The other memorable note from the Pittsburgh show was some crazy drunk guy who kept talking to random people during the Van Ghost set. I was glad he wasn’t around for the Bruce show driving everyone up front crazy
There will be a lot of deadheads at the show as well so we can expect Jack Straw will probably be yelled out again
I’ll try to have a better piece of paper to write swing street on. That is one that has not been played in years!

ParticipantGuiness Goon,
That must have been you next to me the whole time. I think I handed you a request with Swing Street on it to have Chuck Keith set on the stage. It was a scorcher! I was there around 4 PM waiting. Can’t wait till Thursday’s show! I have the VIP pass for afterwards too.

ParticipantSI,
The interview seems to be cut in half. It’s only 25 minutes. Will there be a part 2?
Thanks for putting this up. It’s sad that Bruce feels defeated with the live recordings. I download and buy as many as possible. The amount of time and effort spent is not wasted. There are plenty of us that enjoy those recordings and are very grateful. If he released the whole tour of shows as live downloads, I’d happily buy them all.
Hopefully this summer tour add more fans!
Thanks,
Jeffgoaves
ParticipantYeah, I am thrilled he is finally close! I will be seeing him 4 times this year. I’ll also be going to the show in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Jamesville!!! This is a new record for me!
goaves
ParticipantThat sound quality was awesome! Hopefully some of the sbds will make their way onto brucehornsbylive.com shortly!

ParticipantAnother Bruce show is up on the internet! This time it is the show from Alabama: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta … ?id=355751
Si, where did you find audio from the Louisiana show?
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Everyone,
Thanks for those kind words. I always enjoy stumbling on new Bruce music. If I lived closer, I would definitely make the trip. I am tempted to make the journey to Virginia to catch one of those SCKBSTD shows. The other thing is I’m probably one of the youngest members of the board still in their 20’s if you can believe it. I still can’t stand any of the main stream music people my age listen to. Another thing I stumbled on was a bonus track version of Halcyon Days. I have a free trial of rhapsody.com and the Halcyon Days album they have has 2 bonus tracks that are unreleased. The first track is Bruce doing a Warren Zevon song called “Play it all night long” and the other one is “Darling Be Home Soon.” Its a different version than the one released on the tribute album SI advertised on Bruuuce.com. It’s worth checking out.

ParticipantDavid,
I’m just glad I stumbled on it or none of us would know it existed. If I was closer to the Carolinas I would have definitely made the trip to see Bruce at the legendary Biltmore. I’m also glad I could brighten up Kat’s day too! Hopefully everyone out there is taking advantage of this while it’s free!

ParticipantI was able to listen to it today on my iPod at work. The portion of the show Bruce did was phenomenal. He played Paperboy and Shadow Hand on dulcimer. For the encore portion he did Prairie Dog Town on dulcimer as a solo. Then, he played an old gospel hymn like song with the other guest musician’s band. This is definitely worth listening too. Bruce did an interview between paperboy and prairie dog town. For something that is free, this was defintely worth it.

ParticipantJeff,
There are 2 unreleased songs on the soundtrack. The first one is the Mandolin Rain version. It is a solo piano version. The second song is “Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby” The others have been released on previous albums.
Hope that helps.

ParticipantVic,
I definitely agree with you there. Nothing compares to going to the theaters, but when you have a movie that is a limited release like this one, it makes sense to try and get as many to see it as possible without spending millions in advertising. This seems to be the way many independent films will probably go in the near future. Where I’m from in Rochester, we have a couple of independent theaters and I will definitely go and see it there once its released just to get that whole experience and knowing that I am supporting a small business.
Anyways, has anyone else seen the movie yet? Its well worth the money if you don’t have an independent theater near you. For 10.00 its a real deal and you get it for 48 hours! The going rate for a movie ticket where I’m from is $9.25!! This movie definitely deserves some Oscar buzz. Even though its a huge stretch, but It would be great if Bruce got nominated for this one. He definitely deserves it!

ParticipantVic,
I agree with you, but you are still supporting the movie and if SI puts an amazon link on his site, than it could also help bruuuce.com as well. I think its a win win situation. Also, I watched it on amazon.com and can honestly say the quality was excellent. I had my PC hooked up to surround sound and it was awesome! I think this should be made available for all movies today. This is the future of movie watching.
Anyways, the movie is definitely worth it. I enjoyed it thoroughly and not just because of Bruce’s cameo. This was definitely one of Robin William’s best films yet since Good Will Hunting or the Dead Poet’s Society.

Hey Everyone,
You can actually get the movie on demand at amazon.com. SI should put a link on the main page for this one. Its $9.99 as well, but you can watch it for 48 hours. Its still cheaper than going to the movies!

ParticipantHey Everyone,
I think all the 90’s dead concerts have grown on me over time. I truly enjoy all the Bruce shows with the dead all the way until 95. Whenever he showed up, it gave the band a boost. Also, while exploring the 90s, I have stumbled across quite a few shows and can now agree that Jerry killed more shows than anyone else during that time. He even turned down the sound of his guitar from 94-95 because of his lack of confidence. I know that was a frustrating thing for all in attendance because they paid to hear him play too. I would highly recommend listening to 02/21/1995 at the Delta Center to hear a great Vince Concert. You can get it here: http://www.archive.org/details/gd95-02- … sbeok.shnf
As for Bruce, I can’t remember hearing a bad show at all. There are 2 concerts he did in 92 that he played his best versions of Jack Straw with the dead: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1992-0 … efail.shnf
http://www.archive.org/details/gd92-03- … sbeok.shnfAnyways, thats my two cents.

ParticipantVIDEO CLIPS FROM WORLDS GREATEST DAD
Hey Everyone,
Here is a link to some video clips from the film. In one of the clips, Robin Williams is in the car with his son listening to Bruce on the radio. His son tries to switch the channel and Robin Williams gets mad. Its great stuff. Here’s the link:
