Off the top of my head I have 7/4/92 Austin, TX. It’s just one disc. I know I have one or two more Range 92’s but would have to search my vault cuz I can’t think of the dates or venues….that final year of the Range(1992) is the toughest to find and I’m always looking for anything during that year.

I hope there will be a day when Bruce looks back at some of those old Range songs and gives them another listen. There’s some great stuff on those first three albums that should be played today.
My dream tour would be a Range reunion opener with a Noisemakers reunion closer.

I agree with both of your choices too.
1993 was a tight band with Jimmy Haslip…I just never cared for Debbie Henry’s belting out notes, just didn’t fit the tunes.
2004 was great because of all the great Halcyon Tunes and it was awesome to have RS in the band at many shows from ’04. Love his guitar tone. Glad there is a lot of nice recordings out there to be able to hear him add such a nice texture to the tunes.
I also what to show some love for the Range as I love 1988…it’s great to go back and hear early Bruce. I love the poppy sound of the Range…just wish there were more live Range recordings out there to hear some young vibrant Bruce jamming the classics.

    Mine is 2001/2002.
The set lists were great and the band was on fire, especially when Steve Kimock or RS was involved. Check out 10/1-2/02 if u can find a copy without chatter.
Many songs were jammed out long and many of my favorite songs were played during this time that are now gathering dust on the shelf.

I figured it out…you missed out on a good show. The venue was pretty cool seeing that it was in a hundred year old church so there was a lot to look at while Bruce did his thing.

Whom I kidding its still Bruce and his music…just a lesser quality than I’m used to…I’ll probably still go to at least one Noisemakers show this summer…hopefully

Man that’d be a cool show…especially if John Popper comes out during Bruce’s set and vice versa…still not sure yet if I wanna drive 9 hours for Noisemakers2.0 but the chance of Popper playing with Bruce might be worth it.

I can’t get into the new sound…it’s like taking a few steps back.
I had a good time at the show but listening to it again on recording it shows how much Doug & Bobby brought to the songs.
I also hate how much Bruce lets Gibb play when he had Doug on such a short leash.
There are a few Noisemakers shows I can go to this summer but I’m having a hard time finding myself wanting to drive 5 hours to hear/watch a mediocre violin player play Bobby’s parts.
I’m seeing Bruce in 4 days…solo style so that may be my only Bruce fix til the Grateful Dead 50th reunion.

I’ve dl’d that show off etree a few years back but unfortunately the seeder only uploaded the songs with Herring involved…which was pretty lame to do, why not share the whole recording. So it’s out there…u just gotta poke around.

I was thinking about hitting the AC show. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there and would love to see how different it is, but it might be a little depressing.
Still on the fence…if Bobby & Doug were back in the band I would say I’m there.

Bruce is also playing May 14 in Columbia, MD at the Jerry Garcia celebration called Dear Jerry.

Normally I would drive 5 hours to see the Noisemakers and would have definitely gone to the Kalamazoo show but seeing that I can’t stand the new sound/guys I probably wouldn’t drive over 2 hours to see them.
The folky sound blows to me…bring back the jazzyness.
Hopefully some more dates do trickle out and something is much closer to me then I probably would go.
I do get to see Bruce solo and play with the core four of the Grateful Dead this summer
so if I don’t get to see the Noisemakers 2.0 I will at least still get some Bruce this year.

Yeah I got a couple where Bruce made a funny face…I always take two just incase. I took a pic of Bruce with a buddy of mine before a show and Bruce turned his head and was looking at my buddy basically with that look on his face. My buddy loved it…but then made me take another one after the show Bruce laughed cuz he knew why…good times.

I can’t really think of anybody but I always thought Chuck Keith should make the HOF at some point…he is always there to take your requests to either put it on stage or to hand it to Bruce. Also, one time he brought me on Bruce’s tour bus to hang with Bruce, JV, and Moyes Lucas. Chuck does a lot more than take requests but that is a way some folks might know who I am talking about.

Jimmy Haslip and John D’Earth are my guess as that was who was in the band at that time, but without seeing it I can’t say. I’ll have to search for the video and watch it to know…but without seeing it I’ll throw those names out there.
I wonder if Bruce and Dave ever crossed paths seeing that they are both from Virginia too completely different towns but I’m sure they played near each other at some point.

Ah, the Bruce Base – separate to the setlists, where you can search for particular songs. It needs looking at, for sure, as it’s a nightmare to maintain… but I’ll get there!

The rest of the site is alive and well… but the Board is dying a painful death :blah:

Yeah I miss the Bruce Base as I always used it to see how often certain songs were played and what shows they were played at. I was looking to see how often Bruce played Sunlight Moon about two months ago and thats when I noticed the BB down.

Its a shame the Board isn’t getting the visits it once used to especially those 5 or 6 older folks that used to chat it up daily here…its weird that they all just fell off at the same time.

I always wondered what happened to the usual crowd I always seen here in the past. Its weird that they were here daily up ’til this year sometime and then just fell off never to be seen or heard.
I’m anti-Facebook so to me its kinda like being a Walmart shopper.
I may have not signed in here as much as I used to but I still drop by to see if anything new pops up and it is a shame that threads aren’t as lively as they used to be but hopefully that won’t cause us to lose this place. I still love checking out old threads I may have responded to in the past, check set lists, and look at what pictures that made it here from the old format(as many, including mine have disappeared) however, I did notice my favorite place here the Bruce Base doesn’t work anymore.
Hopefully, our old friends who used to frequent this great site will one day make their special guest appearances once again.

My favorite collaboration would definitely have to be when Bruce plays with Bob Weir. I love Weir’s voice and anytime to have Bruce play GD tunes with an alum is great in my book, especially when its good ol’ Bobby Weir. Too bad their tour together a few months ago was canceled, that would have been a hell of a time. Weir is a very under-rated guitar player after being in Jerry’s shadow all those years and when he plays acoustic with Bruce’s piano its such musical bliss. Hopefully those two will collaborate again soon.

One of my favorite collaborative moments was when Bruce duo’d with Trey Anastasio and played Standing On The Moon at the Comes A Time tribute to Jerry Garcia back in ’05…just beautiful stuff.

Also, one guy I that I wish Bruce would collaborate with would be Dave Matthews.

Yeah I hear ya…don’t get me wrong it’s always cool to hear Bruce in story teller mode but I heard the BHvsAI story three times over the years; once at a show, once after a show, and once on a recording of a show…so to me having that dude ask about it cost us one more song.
The dude should have asked Bruce the story in person instead of the way he went about it.
However, it is a pretty cool story to say the least.

Also, that China Doll from Columbus 2011 was so damn good…he opened that show pretty hot with that one.
Bruce will be near Columbus in May so maybe he’ll have a Cleveland date by then as well.
