ParticipantSorry I don’t log setlists, but from Reno to Austin, Big Stick made every show (and a fan in Santa Fe gave Bruce a carved stick with a U. of Miami logo and piano keys painted on it) as did (I think) Shadow Hand. Cyclone was played before tornado outbreaks in NC and later Alabama/Georgia. There was one Talk Of and one Night On The Town; two Across the Rivers; one This Too Shall Pass. Sonny didn’t make it until the Dallas and Austin shows, and I thought it was still Moyce (spelling?) Lucas in Dallas because I couldn’t see over the piano and they paused/flubbed the start of Preacher in the Ring Part 2. Length of shows – 1:50 Reno; 2:00 Las Vegas; Santa Fe; Houston; Dallas; 1:30 Austin (charity show) General impressions – I hated standing in Las Vegas (which was sold out except for VIP booths with the price bumped from $395 to $600 day of show – I got a ticket last second from a casino guest who had been comped, p.s. thanks DD for giving me hope) because I’m tall and it’s uncomfortable having my footspace limited. I thought HoB shows would be tolerable with seats but in Dallas the dance zone was erected in front of the “good” seats, and not counting the people that walked out and left bad reviews at Ticketmaster, one loud jerk yelled (twice) during minor key Rain “This version SUCKS Bruce”. Way to go Dallas! I had no history at any of these venues, so I enjoyed Reno (after a four day drive and two day wait), Santa Fe (historic with comfy seats), Houston (lovely smelling waitress with cool ink), and Austin (the regular public was in the balcony and the new Austin City Limits venue is mostly concrete and steel) – but a pretty cool view of the hands I don’t usually see since fate (and my preference) lands me in front of JT for most shows. May the road be kind to you and Longwood Gardens is a nice place to visit but I haven’t seen a concert there. Jon T

ParticipantI’ve visited the garden but don’t recall a venue – maybe all portable? I did suggest this spot when Bruce’s Guestbook was open so I’m thrilled to be coming up from NC for the all Noisemakers show.

ParticipantI saw a J Tull show at Fraze Pavilion from the second row and was about ten feet from Martin Barre and the stage was VERY low. I wouldn’t expect any room up front (and I like to sit my 6’3″ unobstructed unlike the recent Dallas show where the “good seats” were blocked by the dance zone!) There might be a little space on the sides and the lawn.

ParticipantMostly on sale now, Reno, Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Meridian, New Orleans, Bonnaroo. I’m hoping someone with a few friends might hold a VIP booth seat for me in Vegas (only sold in eights!) Of course, casinos and House of Blues are a bit inflexible with their time, but you can’t get it all in one show.
