ParticipantThank you so much for the heads up re: the Verve stream.
I absolutely LOVE everything I’ve heard thus far.
I haven’t voted in the poll yet–I want to listen to the whole album before making a decision–but I’m leaning very heavily, based on what I’ve heard thus far, toward “Best Yet.”
OMG, I’m so grateful for new Bruce.

ParticipantJackie,
Thank you very much.
It is very helpful. I must have accidentally erased that show, though, because I cannot find it.
:::Wondering just how I managed to do that:::
Thanks again very, very much.

ParticipantSi,
Anything you post will be genuinely appreciated. I would love to hear another concert from 2002–or one from a subsequent year that has lots of Big Swing Face stuff.
Thank you sincerely.Highway_61

Just got word that the show might be available within the next couple of hours.

ParticipantSi,
Thank you very much for making all the great performances available and, also, for the work you did with the site–that is, making it a tasteful tribute in a way all of us would wanted to if we had sites, as well.
Like a friend who invites everyone to their home after a tragedy like this so everyone can commiserate and–even–celebrate, you made the board a warm place for all of us to gather.
Thank you sincerely,

ParticipantPlease know you are very, very welcome.
I recorded the Talk of the Nation segment so I could divide it in segments and put them on my iPod. If you want a particular song for a similar purpose, let me know.Highway_61
ParticipantI’m very, very saddened by this. Truly, I’m nearly in tears, for some reason. I mean, yes, ask not for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee, but I feel like a part of my extended family has departed.
I send everyone who knew R.S.–and his family, of course–my most heartfelt sympathy.

ParticipantI think that Bruce demonstrates the beauty and the emotive brilliance of his style in this interview:

ParticipantI don’t mind saying so once again (or even a thousand times): thank you very, very much.

Maybe Sonny was doing his Bette Midler gig.Really, I do think there’s a good chance Sonny is tied to the Midler gig right now:

ParticipantStories have it that Robin Williams was the Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook (two notable joke stealers) of his time. Supposedly, he would show up at comedy clubs and gather material for his own standup act and for his next talk show appearance.

ParticipantThank you very, very much for this.
I have purchased every concert available at MunckMix, and I have been practically begging them to make more 2002 shows available for download (to no avail).
Happy Holidays,

ParticipantWell, a bit OT, perhaps, but I came to the forum today, because I was going to post a question regarding Si and his site. Things have been quiet, and the new site is not being updated, and I was wondering if the Daily Dose 4 had been disappointing for Si.
He seems like a very caring and introspective person, and I thought he might be feeling a bit of a letdown after all the work he invested.Highway_61
ParticipantThere were some problems with the poll site, so I was never able to vote, but WTHH might not have made my top 100, either, not because of atonality, but because (1) –as has already been stated–Bruce has written so many great songs that narrowing down any list is extremely difficult, (and 2) I don’t agree with the song’s premise: it’s a self-deprecating song wherein the self-deprecation is completely undeserved, so it seems to be in a kind of Randy Newman-ish unreliable narrator style that is great but that keeps the song from being among my favorites.

ParticipantHey, Si,
Thank you very, very much for all of your hard work, for all of the music, for everything. It is very much appreciated.
Please know that.Highway_61
ParticipantWell, here’s a bit of superfluous info, perhaps, but I actually found this site via your mp3 at TruePianos.
I’ll spare you the ballad of my rediscovery and total immersion into Bruce (and the Noisemakers), but when it began, it led me back to wanting to play keyboards. I had been away from playing keys for more than ten years, and I had to get abreast of what was available, and blah, blah, blah (I promised to spare you), and, somehow, I got to TruePianos, to listening to your version of “The Way It Is,” to Caesar Salad, to Bruuuce. The end.
Well, not really, but Bruce’s music saved my life in a way, so…
Highway_61
ParticipantI’m loving the new site, as well.
And all the new Bruce music? Man, because I’ve already purchased almost everything available at Munck, this is a veritable paradise.I’m having a bit of a problem, though.
Is anyone else having it? I’m signed in for the forum (obviously), but when I try to leave a thank you comment for Si, I’m unable to do so. I’m prompted to log in, but it doesn’t recognize my user name.
What am I doing wrong?Thank you.
Highway_61
ParticipantYes, I purchased Bend, as well. It’s excellent.
