ParticipantI’m listening again, and tonight it’s “Walk in the Sun” that’s caught my ear. Does anyone else think Greg Schuler sounds like Elvis Costello?
Jonathan
ParticipantI’m listening again and loving it more each time!
The DRB version of “Circus on the Moon” is very good – would really like to see you guys play live should you ever venture this far north.
Megan’s voice on “Love Me Still” is beautiful and adds even more emotive expression to those already in the lyrics.
Most original idea has to be Alan Kerry’s “Lost (in the snow) Soul” – it’s wicked!Well done everyone.
Jonathan
ParticipantBoo-hisssss to the jobs-worths.
Hooray to Bruce!
Jonathan
ParticipantThank you MVF and treah for PM’ing the poem.
After the first scan I thought the Bruce line was..
“Stepping out onto the front porch,”
..but then I realised I was thinking of a line from “The Road Not Taken” which mentions a front porch, but is different.
So I read it again and got it. The Bruce line is..
“I know that sometime soon (today).”
..from “Walk in the Sun”.
Jonathan
ParticipantIf one of you would like to PM the other poem, I’ll gladly try to figure out the elusive line.

ParticipantHey Si,
Glad to hear from you and wish you a speedy recovery from your ills. Very pleased to know DD4 was a great success, and look forward to the surprises you have in store for us.
We’re all keeping the nest warm for your eventual, full-time return. In the mean time, keep looking after yourself.

ParticipantYep, well done, Si, the new look is superb! I can’t remember which colour scheme I voted for, but the one that won is pleasing on the eye. With the new format you have I think they’d all look good anyway.
Jonathan
ParticipantAs the latest tribute work didn’t appear yesterday, I’m guessing it will be today’s big announcement.
Jonathan
ParticipantToo right I won’t be missing it. I love DDD and the Bruce tribute work!
Jonathan
ParticipantCome on, Dave. Let’s have a sneak preview!
Jonathan
ParticipantIt is when there’s a beautiful sunset, a stunning moonrise and a distant thunderstorm, as in 2005 when I was there.
Would dearly love to come back and see Bruce play there again.
Jonathan
ParticipantI have all the 2002 shows from BH live, and they’re all fantastic. As I recall the Biltmo’ show opens with Bruce saying something like “Are we gonna have some fights tonight maybe like last year?” There’s a great version of “Big Swing Face” in that show.
Jonathan
ParticipantThat’s cool. Now I’ll be reminded of you everytime I listen to it.
Jonathan
ParticipantSomeone’s mobile phone rang here at work earlier and they had “I get the sweetest feeling” by Jackie Wilson as their ringtone. The tune got into my head and now I’m thinking it would be a great request for Bruce and the band. Any suggestions for what it could be combined with?
Jonathan
ParticipantYes, that’s the one! He says she can come up and dance before he starts to play. 😆

ParticipantRe: CANCELED: 4/10 show w/Skaggs @ Palace Theatre in Waterbury,
Hi Graham. Glad to hear you still had a great time. As some who loves Paul Simon’s “Graceland” album, I’m intrigued to hear about this show you saw. Can you tell me more?
Jonathan
ParticipantThat’s brilliant! It should be the official video to that record.
Thank you for sharing, and well done to Junior and Abigail.
Jonathan
ParticipantGlad to have you back, Si. Looking forward to the build-up to DD4 now.
And speaking of Daily Doses; great choice to return with. Not heard this one before!
Jonathan
ParticipantAh, so that’s where I got it from.
Sincerely, thanks. I’m pretty-much back to rude good health now and will surely let you know about the album.
Jonathan
ParticipantI got the recent new album from The Eagles. I’ve only listened to it once so haven’t really fromed an overall opinion, but it has some nice sounds. Unfortunately I’ve not listened to much music at all recently having had a horrible cold with added blocked-up ears. It makes everything musical sound out of tune. It’s getting better now though, so maybe I’ll get my headphones on this weekend and have another listen.
Jonathan
ParticipantCongrats, David, on your induction into the Hall of Fame. Will you be up for a Grammy next year?
Jonathan
ParticipantPrepare for an invasion – if 2 people can be considered an invasion – because if the Noisemakers do tour in 2008, I’m coming over too!

ParticipantGreat work, Bryan. Thank you for your efforts. Let’s hope it’s enough this time!

Participant‘Straight, No Chaser’ is the track that appears in ‘Rainbow’s Cadillac’, and mighty fine it sounds too.
At the moment I’m loving ‘Standing on the Moon / Halcyon Days’. It’s a great finish to the “concert”.

ParticipantI already posted a message in the guestbook, but I’ll say it again – THANK YOU!
Merry Christmas!
