I’m always one to read the booklet as I enjoy seeing who Bruce thanks and his silly names that he gives people. Carey and Kat, excellent work on the photos!!
oh my gosh, you guys are crackin’ me up!!! Hell, I’m such a good floater, I don’t even need the boat. 😆 I can only imagine the comments from there. 🙄

I can’t wait for Leno!! I’m sure Bruce will blow everyone away with his talent and obtain a slew of new fans. Have a great vacation!! I see some others got their cd in the mail but I haven’t rec’d mine yet. Hopefully today.
I was back in Wisconsin (or as Vic likes to refer to it: Minnesota) for the past 9 days so I was out of the loop. No squirrels or bbq crap back there. Just good ol’ meat and potatoes and piece and quiet fishing on a lake.
DAvid, I wonder how you, MOlo and I would fair in a boat together. Someone would surely go overboard. 😆SMP
And I second that notion with wishing you a happy b’day. I had to laugh because when I first read your comment about firing up the barbie, here I thought you were going to roast some barbie dolls. silly me. 🙄

DAvid, not only do I hate BBQ crap, now you have to add both squirrel and Molo to the mix. I think I’ll pass. 😆 I’m just first now recouping from you guys at the Biltmore.
And I don’t think MOnica can eat that either with a sore shoulder. Monica, I’m just trying to help you out here. SMP

Then there’s me who got the same email about 5-6 times. Maybe I got all the ones the other people weren’t getting.
Oh brother, listen to Vic flappin’ his jaws. 🙄 Ok, I’ll give him the fabulously wealthy part but I’ll have to think twice about the good-looking part. 😆 You show me a purse to match your good-looks and then I’ll give ya that too!!
And speaking of Mr. DAvid P. Day……today is his B’day!!! A little birdie told me. Happy 39th DAvid!! Vic said you don’t look a day over 72.

From the looks of the 2 Vic’s, I sure hope the real one was the one sitting next to us. Also, my cousin told him the only way he could sit next to us was if he held her purse since she was using THAT chair for the purse. It clashed with what he was wearing (or lack of) so he declined.

Vic, great job on the description of the evening. When Nick mentioned the guitarist, my first thought was R.S. as well.Monica, I hope your shoulder is doing better a little bit each day.
David, the guy that sat next to us was about Bruce’s height, blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes. Wasn’t that Vic?? Maybe it was an impersonator after all. 😆 That sounds more like Bruce!!
I did check the “pen pics” and yep, that’s Vic. My 12 year old niece always tell me I’m 750% blind without my glasses or contacts, so who knows who the hell sat next to us. At any rate, the person who did sit next to us was very nice. Now I’m thinking that it probably wasn’t Vic. haInteresting comment about the live versions vs. the studio recording because when I’ve heard Bruce and band perform “The Black Rats of London” here in Denver last year and then just recently at the Biltmore, I like the live versions much better than the original recording. Go figure.
I have to agree with Mr. Dave Rich as far as the weakest one being “Levitate” for me. While my husband LOVES that song, it’s not wearing well on me. Usually the more I play a song, the more I like it but that’s not the case with this one. Then again, I’m not a Kobe fan. I love all the rest of them but am leaning towards “Continents Drift” as my fave. I drift away when I hear that song. Simply beautiful.
ok, I had submitted this last night but for some reason it blanked out the screen and I lost everything and it was quite long. So I will attempt at it once again:
I first wanted to give out a HUGE thank you to Mr. David P. Day for arranging all the meet-ups prior to the Atlanta and Biltmore show.
What fun it was to meet everyone!! Jackie, while I was bummed you were not there, it was wonderful to meet adorable Amber (how can you not love her?), picture queen Carey (she said I looked familiar and I’m wondering if it’s from a picture of me at her local post office), Mike and Donna (great people to converse with plus they’re dog lovers so that’s an A+ in my book right there), Dave and Judy, who we ran into after the Atlanta show and had a late-night cocktail with them, Mr. I-didn’t-get-my chest-painted Molo3 (I think he liked me even without my bells and whistles on) and his lovely wife Karen, who was great to chat with, Miss 29 hour bus ride Monica herself (yes, you do deserve an award), Miss Virginia I-can-make-anything Former (thanks for the bracelet!!!), stage manager travelin’ Zann, Mark (aka Prince) and Maria (who was amongst a few that could pick up that although I live in Denver, that’s not where my accent was from. The Wisconsin must have come out of me.) and last but not least, Mr. David I-got-ya-covered Day. What a bunch of top notch people to pal around with. You guys added that much more to the wknd. It was nice to be amongst other Bruce fans that we all shared the same interest in. I know there were a few others from the Atlanta show that I met and I apologize for forgetting your name.I was proud that I understood most of your southern accents (those of you that were from that area) and also that I got in and out of the south without any bbq.
Jackie, I know you’re disappointed in me. I’m disappointed in myself that I never had a Georgia peach. I should be slapped for that.I took lots of fun pictures so if any of you in our group would like a copy or want to see some of them, just shoot me an email at mcockshoot@wildbluecorp.com. I did send them to Si as well so hopefully he’ll post them.
Like Vic mentioned, I, too, will be at the Boulder show. Vic, thanks for the heads-up that they were on sale today. I had marked my calendar for tomorrow to buy the tics but I got mine as soon as I saw your post. I saw Bruce there years ago when he did the etown taping and it was a lot of fun. He sang and told stories in between. The guest for that one was Rickie Lee Jones and I think she was on some kind of trip as she was bizarro. I thought it was an odd guest appearance for Bruce so I’m hoping for someone who I can enjoy this go around. I’m sure etown is the one that picks the guests, not Bruce. Better yet, I would just prefer it to be Bruce.
Well, I’ve rambled on long enough. Thank you again David for all your hard work and look forward to many friendships down the road. Hey, where did I hear that before?
If any of you are ever in the Denver area, give me a hollar. If I’m too expensive, you can always bunk at Vic’s. 😆Mary aka SMP
