ParticipantOh boy, I can only imagine what Jonathan’s pictures will look like if he’s going to be thinking of me while snapping away at pictures.
SMP
p.s. Si, you weren’t referring to me as old, were you?? ha
mary
ParticipantAnd I’ll honk and wave nicely as I drive past your dupa (butt in Polish) going 80. 😆
I love the name of “Oh-nine” tour. Very clever, Vic.
Perhaps we (David, you and I) can all get together and tackle Bryan to get the info out of him. I’m up for it.

ParticipantI’m in for both Atlanta and Biltmore ❗ My engines are started and I’m almost to the Colorado border. Can’t wait!!!
mary
ParticipantI just heard through a “grapevine” that the pollstar is incorrect. Molo and everyone else, it is at the actual Biltmore and not the garage place. After looking at the garage place, I thought it was a rather strange place for Bruce to perform but what do I know.
I am so stoked as it’s been a dream of mine for years to see Bruce and band perform there!!!! I’m definitely an “in” for traveling from Colorado to go see them!! It would be wonderful to be able to meet some of you Bruce fans that plan to also attend. Put a face with a name.
Pollstar will supposedly be making the correction.
mary
ParticipantOh, David didn’t tell you we’re all going to dinner and I get to meet the love of your life, Nene?? Oops, guess I wasn’t supposed to say anything.
mary
ParticipantHey David
At first I thought you were telling us to stay at a hotel and I’m thinking, where’s that southern hospitality??!!! haThen I re-read it again. And here I was ready to give you some crap. 😆 How kind of you to offer your place to all of us for a “sleep over.” The one and only time I saw Bruce solo (the other many times have been with the band or with Ricky) was here in Colorado in Beaver Creek, up in the mtns, and I have to say it was mouth-dropping. I had front row center seats and was in heaven. Also, that was the first time I met Bruce so talk about melt-down. I probably looked like this 😯 to Bruce…deer in the headlights-look. Hell, I still look like that every time I get to see Bruce.
Bruce has to remind me to pick up my chin as the drooling is rather noticable.
I guess I need to move on up to the east side (Jefferson’s show – shows my age) and get cable because unlike you and Vic, I have no idea who this NeNe person is on the housewives show. So I guess you both are one up on me. Dammit.
Sure it’s a date for dinner should I make it down there. Just as long as it’s not Chinese or bbq crap.

ParticipantI know with a crowd max of 300, how much more intimate could you get??? unless of course Bruce is performing in your living room!!
mary
ParticipantI looked up the ‘Garage at Biltmore’ because I was curious as well and attached the link for you. I’m still holding out for the actual Biltmore as I’ve always wanted to see Bruce there.
mary
ParticipantOh, I’ll give you a hard time alright. You live an hour away from me and you’re a fan of a housewives show?? Talk about weak!! 😆 I agree, Scott probably would’ve done better had he played the piano and sang Bruce’s song. Then again, we’re all probably comparing Bruce to Scott and there’s no beating Bruce as to how he performs that song.
mary
ParticipantI watch American Idol and also saw the performance last night. I lit up when I heard he was going to sing one of Bruce’s songs. Yippee for Bruce!! When Simon said he didn’t like some of the lyrics, I was like what?? Look it here mister, we’re not here to judge the song, we’re here to judge the singer. What an idiotic thing to say. Si, I left a message on Bruce’s site calling Simon a Bozo Brit but put (no offense Si) but it appears you thought he was an idiot too.

ParticipantDavid, should I submit “home movies” :o, both you and I would be banned by Si. ha
Back in your court.

ParticipantIt ain’t easy being there’s a lot to cover. 😆
David, you’re crackin’ me up.
mary
ParticipantYa, just don’t ask Bruce or JV about me being shy or they’ll spill my cover.
mary
ParticipantHey David
I actually was thinking something for “Stacked Mary Possum” as far as pictures go but I figured Si wants to keep it clean. HA!! And me being the bashful kind…..
mary
ParticipantI just had to make this comment: So I’m sitting here listening to all this beautiful soulful music and at the time I was listening to either “White-Wheeled Limo” or “Rainbow’s Cadillac” where RS was doing a solo and my husband walked by and asked who I was listening to because he said it almost sounded like The Grateful Dead. It gave me goosebumps that he said that just because he had no idea what I was listening to and the previous comments about how people were comparing RS to the next Dead generation. Keep rockin’ on RS.
mary
ParticipantWhat a tremendous loss to the Hornsby family, his friends and fans, near and far. What a great way to celebrate R.S.’s life with sharing his music today on his B’day and always. Thanks Si for putting this all together. We’re a tight group community and we appreciate everything you do for this site.
mary
ParticipantI did I did!! I posted my city and state already!!
mary
ParticipantDavid, and here I thought Bruce was the only one that referred to me as “Stacked Mary Possum.” Now you?? 😆 Consider it a date. Mary
mary
ParticipantFirst of all, thank you all for the kind words. I think this is the first time I’m leaving a comment so hopefully I’m doing it right and it gets put in the right topic.
Oh my gosh, well you can definitely tell that I’m a 137% Polish (No, the name Cockshoot isn’t – that’s my husbands name – but I am Polish
) and a newbie at this as I was just listening to some of the songs again and thought I’d take another listen to mine. Holy crap, I didn’t realize that my friend who recorded me was talking at the end of it and you can hear him. Oopsie daisy. What’s weird is I don’t recall hearing that before. Maybe I shut myself off before it ended when I listened to it prior times. 😆 Anyways, as you can tell, this was the first time I ever recorded myself and I’m quite amatuer to all the rest of the talent on this “Strike Three”. While some people have studios to record in, I was just at my house on my 1933 Gulbransen baby grand hoping the phone didn’t ring during recording. After recording this, I have a whole new appreciation for all your musicians out there who record on a regular basis. I couldn’t tell you how many times I had to have re-takes because I messed up. So congrats go out to all you musicians who took the time and to all you people for the nice compliments. And of course to Si for putting it all together!! Buy that guy a Schlitz!! (can you tell I’m originally from Wisconsin?? ha) If any of you are ever in the Denver area, consider our home opened to each and every one of you.

ParticipantBruce’s latest ban on taping
Simply put – Sometimes we need to be grateful for what we already have – not for what we wish for.
