Okay, okay, you’ve shamed me into it…….
Since all I know about are the bars and eateries around the campus of NC State (my son is in his sixth year there), how about all Road Scolars meet in the lobby of the theater at 6:30. If we (that is, if there IS a “we”) go elsewhere, we will leave word as to where we have gone for those (Jackie) who may show up later. I’m thinking that we will probably just hang in the lobby bar, and try to talk security into letting us in on the sound check. In fact, I’ll try e-mailing Bruce’s people about letting us in on that. How’s that, David? Good ’nuff?????? 😉
Oh, just to let others know….. I’ll be the one wearing the “Bruuuce.com Babe” shirt and the hat that says “Miss Virginia Former”. I’ll also probably be the one that security is escorting out of the building for trying to crash a sound check. 😈

NOW we’re talkin’! Can’t wait to see my favorite Brucehead again! Hey, maybe we’ll get to dance together on stage like last time. That was a hoot!
It’s beginning to look like there won’t be a meet-up 😥 beforehand, unless SOME people get it in gear. But we can pack a lot of talk and merry-making into 30 minutes in the lobby, believe me.
Now, who else is willing to own up to having tickets to this show??? Let me know if you’re going, even if you can’t meet-up. It’s always fun to see our Bruuuce.com buddies live and in person.
Oh, come on! I can’t be the ONLY one going from this forum. Now, don’t be shy. I don’t bite, and I have perfect table manners. Shoot, I’ll even buy a drink for the first three “Bruceheads” who will ‘fess up to going to the Raleigh show. Even if we don’t meet up beforehand, we can at least be sociable in the lobby before the show. 😆

I will definitely “drop” your name. Which “handle” does he know you by? Although, by now, Bruce knows me by sight, he only knows me as “Miss Virginia Former”. I have a hat with that on it, and he and Ricky both have signed it. Bruce got a big kick out of it.

I’m sorry to hear that the honor of being named a Road Scholar or a Road Warrior is a “hollow” honor. Mr. Day, I believe, might meant to have said “hallowed”…….
Or maybe it IS a hollow victory. I wouldn’t know, since I have been reduced to two shows a year(geez, I wish teachers made more money), and will NEVER be in the same league as these inductees.
Sorry to be a pain in the rear, dear David, but things like that are my one pet peeve (ask me how I did in Spelling Bees, no, go ahead, ask).

Have finally solved my computer problems, and am “back in the saddle again”. It is so good to be back among friends, but, boy, do I have a lot of catching up to do! 😆Okay……. so obviously NOBODY has a favorite concert moment except me. How about most memorable moment at a Bruce concert?

That’s because I teach kindergarten, which means that either I’m not used to those “higher level” thinking challenges, or my mind has turned to mush from teaching kindergarteners, OR I am just not smarter than the Czar of Blab.

Well, I teach 20 Kindergarteners 7 hours a day. Early morning are the only time there isn’t a line at the copier. Two days a week, I get a half hour break. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I don’t get ANY time out of the classroom. I’m tired of having my knees hugged. I crave adult conversation (not THAT kind, Daviv! Well, okay, just a little). Wanna trade?

At the risk of sounding like Si, actually, he has played “Every Little Thing She Does”, even with the glissade(sp?). Waaaaay back, the Police played either in Norfolk or Hampton. Anyway, a surprise guest pianist showed up…..guess who!!!

Way to rain on MY parade. I didn’t realize you were asking for requests that had never been done before. Obviously, I must have missed that concert. And, since I’m too poor to have anything but dial-up, I can’t even get the Daily Doses every body raves about.I’ve been a fan since seeing Bruce and the boys at the Cave in Virginia Beach, back when I first got married (seems my relationship with Bruce has lasted longer than the marriage….) Loved hearing interviews with Bruce and Mike Arlo on FM 99 radio. I have a CASSETTE tape of one interview from 😆 WAY BACK….
