Ok, I give but only because it’s Lent and I have to be nice to Molo3 (this is gonna kill me) for a few more weeks. Trust me, I don’t think my niceness will last past Easter. 😆 So I want all of you to wait with Molo3 at your local airport and see how long it takes for me to pick you up in my private jet. We’ll see who’s right then!! :D

Dallas, Atlanta, you name it. Hey, what about Denver??

    Mean jet-setter SMP

You’re enjoying this way too much! Are you telling everyone to wait at their local airport? Or do you want them to come to my local airport to wait for you? I think all this being nice has started to work on your mind! 😆

Denver? Never heard of it. Is that near Canada or something? :ugeek:

Now Dallas would work for me. I’ve never been to TX. Switched planes there (again, a commercial plane, not my personal one ha) but never have visited there.

    SMP,

I guess I’ll have to live with that! I think you’ll find you like being nice to me so much that it will be difficult for you to go back to your mean ways! 😮

By the way, no one is buying this whole thing about you flying commercial. We know you’re a jet-setter, so just embrace it! ;)

My 2nd vote for a meet-up of Bruuuce.com’ers would be Atlanta, GA. I’m sure David would agree!

Molo3, yep, I think you’re right for once….not about the plane part but about Bruce working on the Broadway show. To Bruce’s standards, he’s probably never really laying low (although he should), but doing 107 different projects all at once. If only I had his energy and I’m younger than he is by 13 years. Ok, maybe not that many. 🙄

Monica, there’s no way you’re doing that 37+ hour bus ride again. We can put together a ‘Monica’ fund and all pitch in and get you a plane ticket, even though it’s not on my plane that Molo3 speaks of. :)

    SMP

Wow, you are being nice to me today, SMP. How long does this Lent thing last? 😆

If Bruce schedules a show in Dallas this year I think that would be a great meeting spot. It should be warm weather, there’s a lot of other stuff to see and do and Monica wouldn’t have to travel too far.

I have to agree, would be great to get together again. I would even put up with riding the bus again just to get there, as crazy as that sounds. 😆

Any rumors as to what Bruce is up to these days???

    Monica

    Monica,

For our next get-together, just ask SMP to swing by and pick you up. She has her own private plane. At least that’s what she told me. 😆

My guess is Bruce is working on the Broadway production. He was nearly everywhere in ’09, doing TV, late night and lots of touring. He’s a family man as well, so I’m sure he’s enjoying a well-deserved break.

    Hey everyone out there!!

MVF, I’ll cross my fingers that you get the job! Yes, Jackie, Monica and myself were taking on DPD and Molo3 and we crushed them. I’ve just been in rest mode since our victory and I’m sure they’re sulking in their defeat. 😆

A little presumptive today, aren’t we, SMP? 8-) The men have been “layin’ in wait” while the women try to come up with a better plan! 😆 😆 😆

    MVF,

Glad you’re back in the fray with us! I think SMP’s arms were getting tired trying to hold back the surge. Come to think of it, where has SMP been hiding these days? Probably out scouring the country for prairie dogs. 🙄

As for the Biltmo’, I’m keeping fingers crossed on that one. I think we would have heard something by now. No?

We’re thinking of going back to Asheville the last weekend in July* for the Bele Chere Festival. It was going on the same weekend we went to see Bruce at Biltmo’ last year and was such a blast. Anyone else interested in checking it out, drop me a PM. Mrs. molo3 and I would love to hang out with some Bruuuce fans and have “a drink or a few”…

    molo3

*edited to add: Bele Chere is July 23-25 this year, not the last weekend in July.

Wow, I find that hard to believe. Seems out of character for Bruce, especially since JT has been with Bruce the longest of any Noisemaker. Maybe it was one of those days for them. Who knows? 😯

Sounds like a great set, leaning heavily on the up-tempo numbers. Would love to have a copy of this one!

This topic has been neglected for far too long… So before another celebration passes us by,I’d like to ask:

Did anyone get any new music over the Christmas holidays (or after)? What did you get?

I got the 4-disc live Tom Petty career retrospective CD set, and the 2-disc Beatles “Past Masters” (with all of the tracks that were singles that never got onto albums).

    Rich

Rich, I’ve been meaning to pick up that Petty release. Thanks for the reminder! Pandora keeps playing tracks from it, on my Hornsby channel in fact, and I keep forgetting to go grab it.

As for me, I must have been a bad boy this year (softball for ya, SMP!) because Santa didn’t bring any new music around this Christmas. I’ve listened to and liked several tracks from Dave Matthews’ new one, so I may just have to get that one while I’m out as well.

Thanks for posting this, Bryan! Very excited for Bruce that this will come to fruition in ’11!

Looks like a gathering of Bruuuce.com’ers will be inevitable for this. :D

I noticed that one of the co-producers of the play is named Mike Rafael. Is this coincidental to the song title? Has Bruce ever mentioned it anywhere in an interview?

To avoid a potential ban from the site, I’ll take this opportunity to use one of my many specialized skills–and not step into that trap. 😆

I’m waiting for it to snow. It’s suppose to be 60 here today in Denver. Now that’s not fightin’ weather. And it’s 7 states, not 5. 😆 I think it was Jackie that said 5 states. :P Poor Jackie…haven’t even met the gal and I’m getting her involved. She did, however, say she’d back me up. so there.

Our climate zones seemed to have swapped places. We just had our first day above freezing in two weeks time and have 4 inches of snow on the ground–that fell last week. Weird, I tell ya.

And it’s actually only 3 states separating Colorado and Kentucky–Kansas, Missouri and Illinois So, quit making excuses already! Your threats are diminishing by the second!

Molo3, that’s what I was hoping for….a scene between you and me to see who could throw who over the balcony at the Biltmo’ first. 😆 The perfect scenerio was when we were taking the group photo. One strong jab and you would’ve been over but then the shy, quiet side of me took over. ;)

Uh, OK, Internet tough guy! 🙄 Always instigating fights and bad behavior!

In all honesty, I didn’t want to embarrass our Board Legend, since we were his guests that day at The Inn. Had we just been at a local watering hole in Asheville things may have played out differently. Just sayin’. 8-)
