Lordy, David, you must be older than me!! I thought I was an expert on elementary school songs, old AND new, and I don’t recognize it, either. I’m with Dave, though. I think it sounds like an Irish jig or something. Hey, has anyone heard “Black Rats of London”?? It supposedly sounds like an Irish drinking song. Maybe that’s it?????

    Hey, Guys, I’ve had a brainstorm of sorts….okay, maybe a flurry…. shut up, David……

Anyway, my OTHER career (since teachin’ don’t pay) is beading jewelry. I was playing around with some alphabet beads today, and came up with a little seed-bead bracelet that says “Me So Hornsby”. I also made one that says “Bruuuce.com”. I thought they were kinda cute, and so wondered if anybody else going to Bay Days would be interested. Mine are made with turquoise beads, but I could take orders for any color or combination of colors (like college colors) you like. I’d have to charge a couple of bucks to cover materials — but I would NEVER profit off my SiBs and BiBs. So let me know if this is something you might be interested in, or should I take my one-of-a-kind Bruuuce jewelry and go jump in the lake????? :?

Can you get thrown out of a free, outdoor show??? How far away do you think they would make me….I mean, somebody…..go from the stage??? 😉

Aaahhhhh……These pics just might hold me over until Bay Days. You did a really good job of capturing the best of everybody. I especially like the close-up of Bruce.

Guys, you’ll have to raise a pint for me. I won’t be able to make anything before or after. But I plan to be there for both shows, so be on the watch-out for me…… and raise another pint in my honor!

I have emailed JV in jest and for real, and he has been nothing but a gentleman in all his answers. I think he is truly one in a million.

    Daverich,
I will bring my extra “Halcyon Days” CD to trade for anything live your car has not yet eaten. Or, if you don’t have a trade, a hug from my favourite 😉 Bruuucie Across the Water will suffice.

By the way, by “live”, I mean any CD with live Hornsby music, not anything actually moving and breathing. Figured I’d better clarify before David read this…..

David ALWAYS looks forward to tomorrow….any tomorrow…. because he’s high on life and just likes waking up to a new day. But don’t let those dreads fool you, my friend. David can be as buttoned-down as the next guy…when he needs to be. We’re all just tickled that he doesn’t show that “buttoned-down” side on this venue very often. :D

David, for the sake of a laugh, I WOULD wear only my birthday suit, but it’s old and wrinkled and needs a good pressing, so I’ll settle for my reliable jeans and my brand spankin’ new Bruuuce.com TEAL BLUE shirt…….

One of the many highlights for me was the next song, a new number from Bruce’ upcoming album (not named). Bruce strapped on the accordian and went into “Black Rats of London”. For those that haven’t heard it yet, it’s what I would describe as an Irish rocker with some great lyrics about the history of the United States. It’s a funny song, something that only Bruce could write and get away with. Loved it!! After that, Bruce kept the accordion on and invited the ladies up on stage for Jacob’s Ladder and Cartoons and Candy. At first, it looked like no one was going to go up on stage. But once a few ladies did, the floodgates opened and the stage was packed with women of all ages (and a couple of guys who must have thought they were women) dancing up a storm.

I can’t wait until Bay Days to make my request for “Black Rats of London”. I have my little rubber rat all ready…….

…and if I had been there, there would have been NO hesitation about dancing on stage. I would have been up there by the time he had finished strappin’ on the ole’ accordian….

I’m envious. :| I sent J.V. Collier a message on his website guestbook, and he replied that we should be ready for some “big surprises” with this Noisemakers’ tour. Be on the lookout for a song called “The Black Rats of London”………….
PLEASE let us know how these shows went. We like to live vicariously through others……. 😉

    Vic!!
I was so hoping you would surprise us and show up at Bay Days. You know, you could always hitch a ride with DPD and argue sports all the way to Virginia! I’d come get you myself, but KY is the long way around from NC. Of course I know GA is, too, but…….

I am SO glad you are back. Now I’ll have someone other than David with whom to jab and parry.

Bryandunn, you are a doll for taking all this on. We may have to crown you “King of Bay Days!

Just let me know when, where, and how to get there for any meet-up before, and how much for the shirt. I like the logo idea, and, of course, it HAS to have Bruuuce.com in a prominent place. I vote for teal blue, but will take anything available…….(don’t say it, David!)
