ParticipantI’m so sorry to hear that…..
Anyway, another absolutely fantastic show you should get is the August 2, 2002 Ashevile, NC show – aka the “Biltmo’ Sho'”. I currently have disc 2 in my CD player at school/work, and I could listen to it all day (except the kindergarteners wouldn’t get it). “Jacob’s Ladder Intro / Jacob’s Ladder / Pig in a Pen / Spell on You” is absolutely the most brilliant music I’ve ever heard from Bruce. Yeah, I know DPD will disagree, but THAT is the music I put on when I need my spirits lifted. At least give it a listen. My son downloaded it for me for Christmas. Since I don’t have the capability / knowhow to download, it’s the only show CD I have (except the one Gunky gave me…thanks again!).

ParticipantThat was me! 😆

ParticipantHave it???? I was THERE!!!! Yes, it is (was) an awesome concert. I think you picked up on my favorite tracks. Is this the concert that starts out with him promising Teresa she can dance on stage?? I’ve been to so many Charlotte concerts, I get confused……..

ParticipantThat will be in 2011, so if we start now with the powers that be, we should be right on time. 😉
Hey, Rich –
See ya’ at Bay Days?????MVF
ParticipantI hope that’s the case. The spontaneous nature of Bruce’s concerts is one of the reasons I’ve gone back again and again (ands again and again….. I think Raleigh was somewhere in the thirties….). I realize not everyone can keep up with Bruce’s song changes – sometimes three or four at one time – and the set list is necessary in some situations, but please, oh please Bruce, don’t make it the norm. I want to be able to have my bears deliver my requests and know that there’s a chance my guy will play them. 😉

ParticipantAlthough I’m glad there will be no reading of the phone book, I’d kinda like to hear Rich read Le Morte d’Arthur in 15th century English!!! And I’ll sign up now for one of the “freak” shirts! Since the “Miss Virginia Former” hat didn’t work, I guess I really DO need something to identify myself.

ParticipantGlad to have you back!!!!

ParticipantRe: Bruce,Ricky and Kentucky Thunder 3/26/07 Raleigh,NC
And she did that WITHOUT the preprinted set list (I was SOOOO disappointed to see that list). Has that been the norm at all the Bruce/Ricky concerts???

ParticipantHey!! I’m back, but with another name (at least until Si and I can figure out my blankety-blank computer).
The Raleigh show was great!! Treah and I met up after the show. Don’t know WHAT happened to the promised “others”, but I did spend two hours in the Radisson lobby bar, followed by an hour and a half outside of the venue, looking for the above-mentioned “others”. Met a tugboat captain and his son from Mathews, VA who were wonderful to talk with. Also met a family from Raleigh. I may have recruited some new Bruuuceheads.
I am proud to say that I was one of the four ladies who (pant, pant) danced on stage. And yes, Jackie, I DID “clog” (but perhaps I needed some Draino, because it was a SLOW clog 🙄 ). Should have chosen a song other than “Sheep Shell Corn” to dance to. And yes, that was MY bear I was dancing with. His tag said “Humpy the Bear wants to hear “The Longest Night”. Miss Virginia Former wants to dance on stage.” Oh well, one out of two ain’t bad.
I did not write down a set list. Perhaps one of the lucky ones who got a copy of the PREPRINTED set list will reprint here. I do remember “Sheep Shell Corn”, though (tee hee).
Monica, PLEASE send a PM to this username with your address so I can send you your prize. No autograph, but not from a lack of trying (security there knows me by name now).
