Thanks. Nice to know SOMEBODY out there is listening.

BTW, sorry to be incommunicado for so long. A lightening strike took out my modem and router, and it has taken awhile to catch back up.

But I be back, and I be movin’ and groovin’ and awaitin’ August 3rd!!!!

You do have a witness! Jackie is always ‘in charge’! There is never a problem when Jackie is the ‘sheriff’! :) With Jackie there, MVF will behave! :)…..

Yeah, but, if DD WASN’T there, MVF would have no reason to misbehave….

Then again, good behavior is SO over-rated……..

I agree that Jackie should be the Designated Behavior Sheriff, but only if I get to be the Designated MIS-Behavior Sheriff!

Hey MVF! Just a little lower and to the right! You, by now, know the ‘spot’! :)…..

Oh, yeah, I know just the spot. It’s just that I haven’t seen it in so long, I might not recognize it!!:D

Oh, don’t worry. I know where my priorities lie.

Ok, Raleigh meet up. I’m thinking maybe just an old-fashioned picnic at the site. That way, we will already be the, and nobody gets lost looking for some hole in the wall joint. And Treah can bring her special dessert!!!!

    But….. I’m open to suggestions.

    Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!

    Danger, Will Robinson, danger!

    Major conflict! Major conflict!

Have just realized that annual Reveolutionary War Reenactment at the House in the Horseshoe Historic Site will be August 3rd and 4th!!!! And the much-anticipated Raleigh concert is August 3rd!!!! What to do? What to do?

I’ve been an active participant in the battle reenactment for the past eight years now. Technically, I can still participate in the reenactment AND the concert, but that means either I help fight a Revolutionary battle wearing an “I Love Bruce” shirt, or I attend the concert decked out in eighteenth century attire. AND it would mean forgoing the annual Saturday night “battle” party at the war site, which includes playing games of chance, singing bawdy songs, and the liberal application of home-brewed spirits and my all-time favorite, homemade mead. BUT, that also comes real close to describing a concert night with my Bruuuce.com homies, so maybe I’m not missing out on that much.

Hey, maybe that is the answer to my accommodations dilemma. At the battle reenactment, I always spend the night in a pup tent on the grounds. If I get to Carthage early on Friday, pitch my tent, set up camp, help with the battle, clean up in the outdoor cold shower, change, zoom to Raleigh, party hard with my SiBs and BiBs, listen to some righteous tunes, zoom back to Carthage, sneak back into camp, change back into eighteenth-century attire, sleep three hours, get up, and help with the battle again, I just might get away with it. Whatcha think???

Okay, time to start the Raleigh concert roll call! I’m trying to get together a meet-up before the concert, and it would help to have some numbers. Thanks!!!,

Miss Virginia Former will be there with bells on (but not much else!?!?!?);)

An idea has been tossed around for an Official Raleigh Bruuuce T-shirt. I know we tried this for the Hampton Bay Days concert a couple of years back, but results were limited because the concert was postponed for a year (I still have mine, though). Any thoughts or ideas????

    SciGuy,
I sent you some PMs. Not sure if they went through. Let me know.

    BTW,
Dreadlock Dave, I may have just found a new sparing partner. Haven’t heard from you in a while. I guess that means you have realized that I am the superior Bruce fan:lol:

As usual, I am more than happy to offer up my chauffeuring services. And I promise not to lock the keys in the car this time!!! Send me a PM or email letting me know when you will be getting in. Are you driving, busing, or hitch hiking??? I’m still trying to figure out what I’ll be doing after the show. I can drive home (one hour drive), stay with my son and daughter-in-law (ten minute drive, but tends to be awkward), find a really, really cheap hotel to flop in, or try to find someone to split a room with (yeah, right, Dreadlock Dave—in your dreams).

Looks like all the really cool SiBs, BiBs, and KiBs will be there. Oh, I wonder if there will be dancing on stage?????

Hey, SciGuy, where ya’ been? I thought I had found a new sparing partner. Dreadlock Dave is beginning to get a little predictable.

I’m funny, silly, sarcastic, WAY too much of a Bruce fanatic, but I’m NEVER mean. Except to Dreadlock Dave. But then, he deserves it.

    So let’s be friends.

    Hey, SciGuy,

Yes, as stated before, the Queen of the Virginie Fanatics will be in attendance. Let’s pool our knowledge of Raleigh, fanaticism of all things Bruuuce, and sarcastic wit (not to mention amazing leadership skills ….. {reminds me of the Pied Piper} …… ) and plan the Meet Up to End All Meet Ups!!!!!

I just noticed this on Facebook! I’ve never been to the Orange Peel – but how bad could it be? It’s going to be hard to beat the Biltmo’ in 2009 though…

Have you been there before? If you were only going to go to one show, would you pick the Botanical gardens in ATL or Orange Peel?

    Heath

    AGREED!!!!!
NOTHING beats the Biltmo’ Sho’, but it looks like I’ll have to “settle” for Raleigh. Oh well. It IS three hours closer, and……. All my rowdy friends will be there!!

    Dreadlock Dave,
I’ll send you my Biltmo’ Sho’ T-shirt so you can wear it there for me. Finances are snug, and it’s only due to the largess of a very generous SiB or BiB that I am able to make it to Raleigh. Request “Black Rats” for me!!
