I, personally, would like to see if there are “gonna be some changes made”. I know that my favorite BRH songs vary week by week, and sometimes hour by hour. If at all possible, I think it would be really cool to see how tastes have changed as the Bruce community has evolved and “matured”. 😆

We might even do one of those “if you were stranded on a desert island, which five Hornsby recordings would you take?” polls. Just for the record, mine would be: —Here Come The Noisemakers; Bride of Noisemakers; Hornsby & Skaggs, and two copies of my Biltmo’ Sho’ 2002 show bootleg ( just in case something happens to the first one). Oh, and I would give up a few days’ rations/supplies in order to carry all those extra batteries to keep my Walkman up and running. After all, music is food for the soul. :P

    Well, anyway, that’s what I would do….

    Oh boy, a virgin!!!

Welcome to the “Circus on the Moon”. If you have peeked in on any of the other topics, then you already know that we are all Bruuuce.com FANatics (except me…..I am a Bruuuce.com Babe ;) ). I noticed that you did not choose a “favourite venue” . Oh, I sincerely hope that doesn’t mean that you have NEVER seen Bruce live. Say it ain’t so!!!!!

Okay, if it IS so, I’m sorry. We will have to do everything we can to remedy that situation. Do you have any of his live concert recordings??? If so, which ones??? If not… 😥 , we will have to remedy that, too.

I don’t play the piano :( , so I can’t help you with any tricks……..but I AM the Queen of da’ Biltmo’ Sho’!!!

I know you will find many new, wonderful friends here at The Board. And then there’s Dreadlock Dave!!!!! ;)

    Hey, JF1,

I went through the venue’s site, and had no problem getting all the way to one button short of buying you a ticket. When I tried to go through Bruce’s site, the “buy tickets now” button did not come up, which is why I googled the venue and put in an order that way. I hope you are able to get through now.

You actually got to SEE some of the Yoshi shows?????

    You’re my hero!!!

Also, BigRR, I LOVE the shirt. Did you evert get to see Bruce with The Dead??? ( I saw him with The Police once, but….it’s just not the same). I have a similar jumper that I live in during the summer. Upon seeing it for the first time, my then teen-aged son asked, “Mom, how many Deadheads did you have to mug to get THAT????”

Gee, I don’t suppose there are any really rich people in SF that would like to sponsor a poor, country child to visit their lovely city sometime around, oh, I don’t know, maybe September 13???? You know, round trip airfare, deluxe accommodations, fine dining, a side trip to The Independent, a little sightseeing maybe?????

    Maybe not.

    Oh well.

    There’s always……….da Biltmo’ Sho’!!!!!!!!! 😆

Apparently, you can OVER influence a child with good music…..

I inundated my son with Hornsby music from the time “The Way It Is” first hit the airwaves. Unfortunately, I guess I went a little overboard, because to this day, he absolutely HATES Hornsby music, and will not let me play it if he is within earshot. 🙄 What’s a mother to do???? I mean, he doesn’t lie, cheat, steal, or spit on the sidewalk, so I must have done SOMETHING right. But still………. :|

    Sooooo…..

Not to make light of ANY of the phenomenal work that Si does on this site, or to belittle anything Board-related, but……

Does this mean that we will all have to re-register, :|… get new names, 😮 … make up new … I mean, copy our old profiles, 8-)… restart our posting count,… Etc. Etc. Etc.?????

Trust me, we are all as loyal as Irish Setters, and we will do anything to keep this Board up and running smoothly for Si’s sake, but, hey, we’d like to keep intact as many of our traditions, superstitions, quirks, idiosyncrasies etc., as possible. Face it…us old people hate change. But it doesn’t mean we can’t.

Oh, and I likely idea of a Dreadlock Dave Filter 😆

Bryann, Rich, Jackie, Lola…. Any chance of seeing you at da’ Biltmo’? Anybody else want to own up to going to the show????

Don’t know if Gerald reads this site, but if you and your incredible son will be there, PLEASE let me know ahead of time ;)

How about all our dear friends from across the pond?? I have some items to hand deliver to several different SiBs and/or BiBs, and I’d hate to shlep them all the way to A’ville fo’ nuttin’….

The offer still stands that I’ll buy a drink for any Board Member who will at least MEET me at the front of the line…..imagine what you might get if you actually stick around and keep me company 8-)

No, it was recorded at The Ritz, NYC, and produced for the King Biscuit Flower Hour (think Austin City Limits) in 1987. 90% of the text on the CD cover and the accompanying booklet are in Japanese (anybody want to know how to sing “The Way It Is” in Japanese???). The tracks include: Every Little Kiss; The Long Race; The Way It Is (intro, 7:09); The Way It Is (song, 6:25); Mandolin Rain; The Red Plains; and On The Western Skyline. The only picture is on the cover, and features Bruce; my own personal heartthrob, John Molo; George Marinelli; Joe Puerta; and an African-American gentleman that I don’t recognize. It’s interesting to see Bruce and George with full heads of hair. Of course, my puppy love, Molo, has on his ubiquitous beret (has anyone EVER seen him without it?).

My offer still stands, that is, if I can figure out how to make copies!! In fact, I’d LOVE to hand deliver these CDs in person at the Biltmo’ Sho’. Still waiting to hear who will be sharing the experience of a lifetime with Monica, The Princess, and myself.

You MUST give us a revIew of how you liked the show. Did Bruce dance on the piano?? Did you get to dance on stage? And most important of all, did you get to meet him? I’ve been to over 20 shows, and have had a chance to meet him every time. I’ve even been backstage a number of times. It’s gotten to the point that he actually recognizes me at each show. Not in that “Oh, God, there she is again, call security quick”……. YET. He actually remembers enough details to make you feel like you are old friends. The only thing is…he won’t shake hands with people. Too much of a liability for his priceless hands.

Again, hope you had blast and will “tell us every little deail!!!

At one of the Biltmo’ Sho’s, I met the most incredible 5-year-old boy. Dad had driven the two of them down from Michigan(!) just for the concert. We had time to kill while waiting in line, and he and I got to singing our favorite Bruce songs. I swear, there was not ONE song this kid didn’t know!!!! If you look on the concert pictures page, you can find a couple of pics of him. I even have a picture of him where I sat him up on the stage. And they say you can’t dance on stage at the Biltmo’! 8-)

BTW, that arm you see holding him up to the stage is mine! :D

Re: I know it’s a little early, but..Who’s up for da’ Biltmo

As stated before… As Queen of da’ Biltmo’, I am taking it upon myself to set up the meet-up there. Since I cannot even begin to afford to a room at The Inn, I can’t set up a meet-up there like Dreadlock Dave did last time. So I will be at the head of the concert line no later that 3:00 (probably earlier) with my quilt, chair, pillows, libations, and various other treats for all my SiBs and BiBs. Remember, I still promise a drink to each die-hard from the board that will come up there and keep me company. And, of course, I have become legendary for my Biltmore Vineyard Wine in a sippy cup.

I plan to bring goodies for all the faithful. I might even bring my Andy Harley book of Bruce-inspired poetry (“Adored by your dad, I shall always support you; And I want you to be what you want to be;” and “Keeping up my strong self confidence, You can bet all you got I’ll get your attention soon; Just give me nothing but one chance to show you, What it’s like to date and adore a lovable buffoon.”).

I might even bring some of my Teddy bears that you can get the band to sign, or whimsical Bruce jewelry to show your support/fanaticism/stalking ability.

Oh, this is going to be an event to remember, and not just because I lost my car keys like last time!!!! :P

Hey, who’s up for backstage passes :?: :?:

He just looked so tickled. In fact, I think he is the only fan that has made it on stage at a Biltmo’ Sho’. We will make sure that Princess Abigail will be the second. 💡

    Dreadlock Dave,

Okay, apparently I’m not in on the joke. Why red and black with a capital G?

Perhaps instead, you should take the Valley Road. I know for a fact that there is something going on over yonder down the road tonight. You know, the one that’s past those city lights way out to the south of the county, where the paper mill runs.
