Hey, I’m looking for a dance partner for the Biltmo’ Sho’. I might even buy you a drink!
BTW, I STILL plan to be first in line again this year. If a reunion is planned, the venue will have to be there. As Queen of the Biltmo’ Sho’s I think I should be able to dictate where and when a reunion would be. We should somehow commemorate the tenth anniversary of the first Biltmo’ Sho’. Maybe we should have a fight in the pit in honor of the occasion. 😆
Unofficial poll —- who was a the FIRST show?? Also, how many of the shows have you attended? There were five in all. Obviously, I’ve been to all five, and have had pictures taken with Bruce and the band each time, and I’ve been backstage three times. Not that I am bragging or anything.

The local chess club was having their annual meeting at this really swanky hotel downtown. Most of them had never been in such fine digs before, so most of them ended up hanging around in the area in front of the registration desk. They were highly competitive bunch, so talk quickly turned to who had the best moves, who had won the most games, etc. One of the desk clerks turned to another and complained, “I wish this bunch would just go home”. The other clerk asked why. The first one answered, “I hate listening to

As I’ve told before, Lois Hornsby sponsored my trip to the colonial Williamsburg teacher’s institute several years ago. One of my passions is recent Williamsburg history, and the names Robert and Lois Hornsby are prominent as philanthropists. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it?

Another bit of “Bruce” trivia…
In “Changes Made”, Bruce refers to going down to the “grinning lake”. In the past, he has referenced Lake Matoaka, near W&M College as THE place for skinny dipping. Matoaka was the Indian name for Pocahontas. Pocahontas means “grinning one”. Coincidence, purposeful reference, or am I just WAY too focused on Colonial Williamsburg / Bruce Hornsby trivia?????Monica,

Perhaps the reference to Shakespeare has something to do with the fact that Bruce’s mom (Lois) is the mastermind behind the Virginia Shakespeare Festival every summer…..
Okay, so I came into this late, but….
Oh, LadyS, yes, yes, yes, Bruce’s music is sexy. Moreso the live stuff than the studio music, but I definitely see what you are saying about Harbor Lights. I think one of his sexiest studio tunes is These Arms of Mine.
Oh, yes, a group outing to the show in Norfolk is called for. That’s MY old stomping grounds, so I kinda know the area.
Molo, good to see you are training the next generation of BiBs/SiBs. SOMEBODY other than Monica has to do it, and I’ve already failed with my son. Blame it on sensory overload in his formative years.

Quick update— still unemployed… interviewing an average of once a week but still getting shot down…unemployment insurance runs out in two weeks…sucks to be me 🙄 …
BUT my son finally got his dream job!!! Manufacturing engineer at Cree (LED lighting innovator), starting at (gasp!) $60,000…he just bought a new car…he is moving to a new apartment next month…he and his fiance should be setting the date any time now
…is it too early for him to start taking care of ME? SO, what’s this I hear of upcoming Bruce releases???? Has anyone actually SEEN D.B. on “Sesame Street”? I caught a really cool view of Bobby Read on the Today show a while back, playing back-up with Sting, even having his hornwork featured prominently in one song.
WHERE did you find a vinyl copy??? I have it on original cassette. Now you’ve got me curious and I’ll have to go dig it out and do a relook/relisten. We may have to do some comparisons…

Hey, I’m just trying to help Wally World get shut of them all. Actually, I always root for NC State — after all the money I have siphoned into them for my son’s edumacation (they don’t seem to give scholarships for skateboarding or mouthing off — the only two things he really excels at), they should name a wing for me. 🙄
Don’t worry about the spelling — I mean, that’s nothing compared to some of Dreadlock Dave’s gaffs. 🙄
There’s a thin line between being “loose” and being “disjointed”……I think I fall somewhere in between. 😆
