ParticipantUnfortunately for me it reflects my lack of enthusiasm for Bruce’s recent works.
I just don’t dig the Kentucy Thunder deal and the solo shows passed their shelf
life a while back for me – a little bit of that goes a long way and I’ve had enough,
thank you. Si is a king for running this site! I just wish we had more to crow about
that is current.OhShenandoah
ParticipantNOT jealous, but I didn’t realize it was you up there MFV – of course I yield to your dancin’
needs. Too bad I can not make Norfolk. With no Biltmore this year we
choose Richmond in late July. Hope to see Bruuuce.com folks then …May 23, 2012 at 1:24 am in reply to: Specific versions of songs that are absolutely top notch #33345OhShenandoah
ParticipantLady with a Fan – Biltmore, 08/02/02 – the first time I
saw RS sit in with them. His solo sold me. They had major
technical problems during the song that had Wayne Pooley
absolutely beside himself and unfortunately he and Bruce decided
to omit that one song from the Live Noise style release of this show.
Not to worry, I was patched into Bobby Hornsby himself that night
and have for the ages the solo intact.OhShenandoah
ParticipantRainbow’s Cadilac, complete with the girls on stage and our
hero atop the piano with the accordian. It was ok the first
half-dozen times, but now simply signals that it’s a good time
to hit the restroom or collect my thoughts for the journey ahead.OhShenandoah
ParticipantI think the Biltmore is likely in August as well, though I too feel a private show
for Bruuuce.com world is in order.OhShenandoah
ParticipantRe: 12/14/07 Warren Haynes XMas Pre-Jam
Some finer points about Saturday night:
Little Sadie before Long White Veil.
Warren Haynes was actually out there from Little Sadie on ->,
he did not as the list suggests leave during “Fortunately Numb”.
In the post jam of End of the Innocence they broke into a killer
Little Drummer Boy which brought a huge smile to Warren’s
mother’s face backstage!Bruce’s effort was huge. Jackson Browne on End of the Inncocence
was also choice. JV and JT did yoman’s duty as the only two Noisemakers
there … Warren seemed to REALLY enjoy playing with JV. Hopefully
some of this will find it’s way to releasable form. -
