KeymasterI don’t think I’ve ever seen a recording of this one surface, Erk – and it’s not for the lack of trying!

KeymasterWell you learn something new every day… I was unaware of a Levitate single!
eBay is usually my first stop for obscurities – although I see nothing currently. I’ll keep an eye open.
If you’re on Facebook, we have a group of 1,000+ people who may give you a better answer:

KeymasterSo a number things happened here. This site went through a period of getting hacked regularly. I installed security measures which were uber, uber stringent and made it next to impossible to log in. I’m working on that now (hence the post).
Added to that, you may or may not know that the most prolific user of this board, David Day, passed away. Rich Diakun, another very popular member, also passed last year. While the community remains strong, Facebook is probably the avenue for keeping it alive, sadly.
I’ve been vocal that Facebook has consumed the community website genre as a whole, not just this one. Although this board probably finally expired when a “group” was set up on Facebook to basically replicate this site’s content. I was slow to react to that and the Board’s audience had disappeared by then. That group has pretty much died a death itself by now, so I’ve set up a Facebook group to recover this site’s community. It’s linked up to Bruce’s official Facebook page:

Rest assured that whatever happens to the Board, the remainder of the site is going nowhere – we have big plans!

KeymasterThanks for the tip – I’ll hope for a general release and look out for it.
There are plenty of recordings of Bruce with the Dead – and a bunch on this site! Check the “Downloads” section.
Si Twining
KeymasterThanks for all the setlists!
Si Twining
KeymasterNot at present, AJ. It hadn’t been “daily” in some time some I’m waiting until I have time for it.
The archive is still up, though!
Daily Dose archive (or via the “Downloads” link at the top).

KeymasterWas the 8/5/90 Concord show a radio broadcast, AJ? I used to have that on vinyl (still do, somewhere) but not had the means to listen to it in years.
Si Twining
KeymasterHow does it sound?
Si Twining
KeymasterI’d guess that the improvisational tendencies have always been there, but early in a career, after a first hit record, probably isn’t the time to do it. Not to the extent that we hear today, anyway.
A lot came after playing and opening the the Grateful Dead.
Si Twining
KeymasterThis is the one that Yahoo broadcast, right?
Very good quality. Thanks!

Keymasterooooooooooooooooooo CASH!!!!!
Yeah, I’m working on something here. It’s not finished yet but it will be some form of contest.
Si Twining
KeymasterGreat stuff Si, nice work! My only critique for the board would be to create some color distinction between quoted posts. It’s tough to distinguish who said what when there are a bunch of quoted posts.
That’s one to cross off the list. Thanks, @JF1!
Ugh. Maybe a little more work…! It seems to work on quotes from the old board, but not new ones. I’m onto it!

Keymaster@JF1 – good idea with the colours. I’ll look into it. Thanks!
Si Twining
KeymasterI thought I’d set that up, AJ – there seems to be a problem with them at the moment. There is still much work to be done with the Board, but we’ve made a good start, I think. I’ve asked the software people for some support on that one.
Thanks for raising it.

KeymasterThe site is up for me, but I don’t see any Bruce on it.
Si Twining
KeymasterThey’ll be going up on this site as MP3s as well.
Well spotted on the Mighty Quinn reference – that’s exactly what I got from it as well.
I really like Gibb Droll’s vocal addition to Jack Straw.
Si Twining
KeymasterWouldn’t disagree with that, although the newest additions to the band offer much hope for this summer.
I think a lot depends on the quality of the recordings… and for that reason I’d suggest 1993 also. Some great soundboard recordings from that year.
Si Twining
KeymasterI’m guessing the goal was to include something from every release… but Bruce is not known to listen to his older records.
I wonder if he’d consider rerecording some of the earlier material with the Noisemakers. Or a concert featuring old songs, like Counting Crows did (and then released).

KeymasterSetlists are starting to emerge. The most positive feedback I’ve heard thus far has been for Ross Holmes on the fiddle. Outstanding, from what I’m told, and what I’ve seen and haerd myself.
Si Twining
KeymasterI don’t seem to have any of those, @JF1 – sorry.
Curious why they caught your attention – they’re far apart geographically and chronologically!

KeymasterThanks for posting the set, @GuinnessGoon

KeymasterThanks for posting this, @Moxie Champion !
Si Twining
KeymasterThanks @treah – although I can’t take credit for this one. Just passing it on! It’s an enjoyable show, for sure.
