Sorry to hear of your troubles, Heath. I once went to see Josh Dodes play in New York (okay, that wasn’t the reason for a trip from the UK, but it sure was a bonus)… only to be refused entry at the door as I had no ID!
After a round trip to the hotel, I probably caught his last twenty minutes on stage… but I’m sure your opportunity to catch BH and co will come around again soon. When it does, it’ll be all the more sweeter.

KeymasterI believe it defaults to Spain?

KeymasterThe Bruuuce.com map is starting to light up! Room for plenty more…

KeymasterAnd here’s the occasion that Phil is talking about!

Keymasternothing wrong with a nomination, but I do wonder whether a campaign like this would be a help or a hindrance.
I’m not sure whether applying some form of pressure is a risky path to take.

KeymasterOkay, as a one-off until the site is back up and running properly, let’s try this – right-click on each song to download:
10/25/02 Charleston Music Hall – Charleston, SC
Set 1: The Way It Is, Talk of the Town >Barber’s Nocturne, Darlin’ Corey > Night on the Town, Crowd banter, The Show Goes On > My Romance
Set 2: Shadowland, Sunlight Moon, Mandolin Rain, More crowd banter, End of the Innocence, Sticks & Stones, Wharf Rat > Diamond in the Rough > Across the River, My Foolish Heart, Crowd banter, Sad Moon
Encore: I Put a Spell on You > King of the Hill > Rachmaninov 8th prelude > Mountain Jam > King of the HillSi Twining
KeymasterDon’t they need to have been around for 25 years before an induction to the HoF? That makes 2011 right on schedule.
Hmmmmmmm… how would one (or hundreds) go about supporting a nomination?

KeymasterDid anyone else get anything similar to Will?
I think it’s sorted, but if you get prompted to download software when you visit this site – please don’t.
I apologise for anyone affected by this – our “hosting company” is dealing with it. Do let me know if you downloaded anything, and I’ll send you the steps that you need to take to put it straight.
It’s now fixed, so you’re perfectly safe from now on.

Keymaster😯 😯 😯
It should redirect straight to the .co.uk site (which is on the way out anyway, to make way for the .com site again).
I will look into that though, for sure.

KeymasterThanks for signing up!
I do have that show – one of the things that I’m looking to add to this new board is a torrent function, to let people download concerts easily.
If nobody else comes forward, please give me a couple of weeks and I’ll try and get torrents working on here

KeymasterThis is taking a lot longer than I realised!
Please bear with me as I make several changes… it’s a skeleton of how I want it to look at the moment, but at least you can post again now!!
I’m almost afraid to touch it while it’s working… but there’s more coming soon!
Si Twining
Keymastera return of the live music is definitely in the pipeline… whilst not a daily dose, I think you’ll like what I have in store!

KeymasterSome BIG changes! Some new toys for the forum, and a lot of old features coming back to the site that I never quite got around to with the current format.
I switched things around on here for the last Dose Day, and for a number of reasons, things haven’t quite worked out as planned! I’m being spammed to death through the sign-up feature, and the whole system is a bit unwieldy when trying to uplaod nwe material. It’s not as interactive as I would have liked (so thank goodness for you guys keeping the forum alive!) and also not very pretty. Not to mention, I’ve had 101 other things on my plate which have meant time away from Bruuuce.com.
So I’m working on big changes, to this forum and the site in general. I’m taking my time with it – better that, than do half a job. But when it’s all fully functional, you guys on the forum will get first look!
Keep you eyes peeled…

KeymasterI watched all of the videos right through, and loved them!
You’ve inspired me to put up my own travels sometime… one day!
Si Twining
KeymasterIt is.
I’ve checked with Bruce in the last week – since he continues to play new material at his shows, he understandably doesn’t want it taped.

KeymasterI believe some of it was on TV… although the full show won’t (or shouldn’t) be circulating due to the current taping policy.
Si Twining
KeymasterThanks for the kind words and the many enquiries.
I am once again ready to hit you with all things Hornsby, albeit at a reduced rate since last time… the Daily Doses reamin retired, for now, which I think is appropriate considering the current taping policy… not to mention a ton of other projects that I have on my plate.
I’ll go into a little more detail than I have on the main site, for those who are interested: for the last few years I’ve been hampered by neck problems, which cause the most bizarre of side effects. Who’d have thought that a damaged nerve would cause fingers or feet to swell, for example?! It’ll pass with an op, and it’s not too painful now that I’ve learnt how to manage it.
I’ve also been busy since May with running and designing other websites – and learnt a valuable lesson: think before you give your REAL name out to anybody! One of those websites is football-related, and in setting it up, I made myself a target for a brainless few. Long story short – one wiped bank account and somebody determined enough to find my home number, and I really didn’t want to go near the internet for a while!
I never learn, though, so currently I’m managing a pretty high-profile charity project involving some celebrity types here in the UK. I’ve got a few ex-footballers (REAL football, this is
) together for a venture to be revealed soon, and got some other media sorts available that’ll mean little to people outside of Britain (try googling Jimmy Savile or George Galloway!)
Anyway, that’s a longer answer than I intended, but suffice to say – i still have plenty in store for Bruuuce.com, with some of it coming soon!
Si Twining
KeymasterGlad to see the forum is still alive, as ever!
Whilst the rest is bordering on moribund, I’ve decided to retire the Daily Dose for now. I have other matters (read: “other websites”) to work on at present, and as long as they are a source of income, I have to concentrate on them!
I was also starting to repeat doses, and with Bruce’s current taping policy, it seems to fit that we reserve the doses for “special occasions”
That’s not to say that Bruuuce.com is forgotten, especially with a tour coming up soon! When there’s something to write about, it shall be written!
I’ll post an update on the site front page soon.
– Si.

KeymasterWhat a great story!
Dave is indeed a talented musician, with a great band.
You’re right, this forum is (for now) a separate database to the main site. It’s all getting concerted over in the end, I just couldn’t manage it all inside a couple of months!
Glad you’re enjoying it though!

KeymasterHi all,
Apologies for the absence; I’ll do my best to update the front page of the site today.
Thanks for the messages,

KeymasterJust to add to my earlier post – JV is under the impression that any Noisemakers shows will be in August.
No idea on venues at all, but if I were to speculate, I’d suggest the New York and DC area. It will have been two years since a Wolf Trap gig…
Si Twining
KeymasterWord is that Bruce is currently in “recording mode”, and will be for much of 2008.
I understand there will be Noisemakers shows – they did a private show last Saturday – but don’t expect too many on the calendar this year.
And to answer a question I’ve been asked several times – emphatically, this is not the end of the road for the Noisemakers!
Si Twining
Keymasterhaha – sorry, it was an in-joke to a few Arsenal fans who visit this site…
and as a few know, I’m a Tottenham fanatic
Si Twining
KeymasterI don’t have this one, I’m afraid, Fritz…
Can anyone else help him out?
Si Twining
KeymasterI remember some years ago running a survey for people’s favourite extended jam on a studio record.
