KeymasterSorry – I’ve had to delete a couple of posts on here because the dates haven’t been officially announced by the venues yet. You weren’t to know, so not a problem.
For that reason, I’d again advise people to avoid Pollstar – some of the dates of there are unannounced, and others cancelled.
The only reliable source for Bruce’s live dates is the official site – without wanting to put any undue pressure on Bryan!

KeymasterActually, in the middle of all the festivities, I did put up a “Many faces of Bruuuce.com” page – I’ve really put out some bad ones. I’m happy to stick with what I have now in the meantime.
Take a look – https://bruuuce.com/history.htm

KeymasterAll me, Scott – thanks for the kind words. I like to give a new look for the Daily Dose Day, as it helps to make it a little more special. I’d been looking at a lot of comic art and poster art recently, and what came out was a subconscious thing initially.
If I get time, I may just redo the whole site that way, because I got some nice feedback, and I did like it myself. Too little time in the day, though!

KeymasterI hope those from this forum who contributed to Caesar Salad aren’t slow to put their hands up…!

KeymasterI’m led to believe that there were well over 1,500 (different) people yesterday, and we’re heading for something similar today.
Sometimes in the next week I expect to break 800,000 visits since the site started.

KeymasterWell, I promised surprises!
I apologise to all for that sudden halt – my internet connection chose that day to crash for the first time in years, and I am hugely embarrassed.
I had access for about two minutes (through my cell phone!) to put up the front page with all remaining doses, as it was clear that normal service would not be resumed that day.
I really apologise for that, and I hope that nobody feels cheated that I was not able to serve everything up as promised.
As a gesture of goodwill (and remorse!), I’ve rustled up a few golden extras, which I’m now going to extend into a second Daily Dose Day starting at 9am EST today (Tuesday). Please stop by every hour after, for some new doses and additions to the site.
Contests will now remain open until 10pm EST today, and the prize for arranging highest corporate donation until midnight. Hopefully doses are reachable – let me know if not. (Please remember to left-click on them).
Thanks all for your patience, and even more still for your wonderful donations. I am floored by the total so far, and I’d encourage those who have yet to contribute, to please give it some thought. Every penny really does count, as you’ll see in the letter from the Merlin Project. Do give it a read.
sincerely (and humbly),
– Si.

KeymasterHere’s a scoop for the forum gatherers, since I know this has been in great demand within these pages before! This will go up within the next hour, with thanks to our own MVF:

KeymasterIt’s only just begun, Kat! It’s only going to get better… but then I would say that; I know what’s coming!

KeymasterI feel like telling you all how close this came to not happening, now that I feel safe.
First off I suffered a hard drive crash at the weekend (and what a crash – I dropped it). 320gb down the toilet. (Not literally, I hasten to add. It hit my front room floor). one hastily-retrieved backup later (thank you USB keys), and that was solved.
Then my local internet provider chose last night and this morning to do some routine maintenance work,. By my reckoning, that was the first time in at least three years that they’ve done that. So no connection until about half an hour before we were due to begin.
And here we are. I need an energy drink already…

KeymasterAha – life on earth, as those in the UK start to surface. Donations really took off in the last hour, and we have our first two winners…
Todd in Sheboygan gets a Ratdog T-shirt and Bobby Weir CD. Our long-time friend Pete Rabjohns just netted himself a couple of tickets to the rugby Premiership Final at Twickenham in May, courtesy of Sky Sports and Simon Lazenby. (Thanks Si).
And it is incredibly cold out. (I’m allowed fresh air, aren’t I?!).
This is fun. You can all watch me unfold live on the internet over 24 hours.

KeymasterAn hour an a half in, and I’m beginning to think that last night’s curry was not a good idea. Actually, I started thinking that last night.
The sky looks nice at this time of day, you’ll find. (It’s 6.40am here…)

Keymaster😆 All appears to have been in order for the last hour or so. I think we’re back in business. This is gong to be a lot of fun… and will includes a few goodies that you guys will not believe.

KeymasterJV’s was my own favourite. That show was huge, although never broadcast.
The trump card last year was the three demo songs that Bruce sent me to use. They got the most downloads.
Who knows what’s coming this year?! (Well, I do, but I’m not letting on…!)
Suffice to say, this will be the biggest Daily Dose Day ever!
Si Twining
KeymasterI’m open to changing it! These titles are “earnt” automatically by reaching a certain amount of posts. We’ll see if I can’t get customised titles as well.. 😆
Si Twining
KeymasterYou might want to pay attention to Daily Dose Day for some of this, also…

Last year’s day included Bruce and the Dead playing Valley Road in Denver, CO. It’s now up on the front page for download. Other files from the last two years’ big charity days will follow in the days to come!

KeymasterI’ve been putting videos on here from that show, so I’m the last one to call it a bad idea…

KeymasterNo, Steve – no cost at all.

KeymasterCurrently:
Counting Crows
Shawn Colvin
Rachel Griffin
Ben Harper
Dave Rich
Jamie Cullum
and Gemma Hayes… and the day that Bruce puts out a Christmas album is the day that this site closes down!

KeymasterThis may be what you’re looking for then – she only managed to complete two verses before she got too busy.
There are two tracks that you can have – one is just Kathryn (with her own harmonies) and the other is with J.V.Collier having recorded on top of that.
Si Twining
KeymasterNo objections – in fact I have a great vocal if you wish to build on it. It’s a Bruce song, though, so you may find it restricting, or you may want to build on it, or add to it! Let me know.
(It’s a half-completed “Show Goes On”, sung acapella by Kathryn Holtkamp).
Or, just start your own tune!

Lake Lanier, GADave Rich is another contributor to the upcoming Caesar Salad!
He had the unenviable task of performing The Way It Is… and pulled it off beautifully!
