I didn’t care for the performance.

I’m not a really a bluegrass guy though.

I’ve never seen it mentioned in any interview I’ve seen, but it is hard to believe a great writer form one generation could not be influenced by a great writer from the previous generation.

He seems smart enough to realize that the enterpetation could present itself.

I love dark humour and can see where getting a skin crawling reaction like this enterpretation does is a valid form of writing.

I definetly like your interpretation better than mine.

    Thank you for that Si.

I do think this comes off as sounding ungrateful when in fact I am so thankful for what we have now. There is still an awful lot of material available so I am very happy about that.

I am certainly interested in Hearing what the Man has to say on it. Were you given any other background on the stop Si?

To be clear, I’m not that upset. I own every legal recording that Bruce has ever sold, along with every DVD and I did trek about 400miles to see a box set show and since Canada does not seem to know what it is missing I see some other major road trips in my future.

Bruce is well within his rights to run no taping shows. I just liked it better when everything else was just as good as it is now and I could get the other concerts as well. 😆 I do like to look at my cake and eat my cake.

I only think that doing this will not add a penny to Bruce bottom line while our customer experience has been diminished slightly.

I hope Bruce notes this. this hurts the most loyal who also buy up everything that is put on the market more than it does the potential new customer. None of my friends ever want to here the stuff I download here or from Etree because of the relatively poor sound quality.

My Grandfather used to say you don’t s**t where you eat.

    He was a smart guy.

I once heard a version of Big Rock Candy Mountain( maybe it was the original that was written so that there were no positive or desirable references to alcohol. It was so lame… Try thinking of that.

Or you could always ask the lord…

Maybe they knew the bonehead doing it and thought there was comedic potential.

Or maybe they wanted it for insurance purposes for the same reason.

I’ve read that Pat Metheny would not Join the Dan for a whole tour because the were not very impovisational, I would suspect that Bruce may feel the same way.

I am not sure but I always took it to mean that Mr. Gordon was a pedophile who wrapped himself in the self-righteousness of an evangelical religion. No that he was a Mormon but that wearing their nickers he was absolved of the sins he was committing with the Cub Scouts.

    But I could be wrong.

Something that really scares me about this sort of thing is that it is so common that we know what Dunblane or Columbine are without further qualification. I support someones right to take them selves out if they don’t feel they can cope I cannot comprehend how they can justify taking anyone else with them.

Listened to mine at last and I like it a lot. Bruce compositions stand out for me more but I am enjoying the Scaggs stuff also. Can’t wait for the Jazz.

The first three jazzy solo albums are definitely my favorite studio releases so I sincerely hope you are correct. Since I also still really like the other period in his career i will not have a problem if it turns out to be something else.

A quote that keeps appearing is: “He doesn’t have to do this kind of event.” Does anyone know if this statement is actually true? Maybe there is a contractual or other obligation of which we are unaware.

I do not want to bash him to hard, or at all for that matter. I think that he must be OK in the money department at this pointy in his career and that if doing this sort of gig gets on his nerves he should not do it, be happy, come back to Toronto, the lat time he was here he sold out in under 1/2 hour and there was no question everybody was only there to see him.

the change in record company was a good idea, if these sorts of thing happen a change in management might also be a good idea.

All comments are for what it is worth also.
