I feel like I am bashing Bruce a lot on this but I think it appears that he is missing a boat her.

    1. If this sort of response is a problem for him I doubt that he is so cash strapped that he needs to take ths sort of Gig.

    2. Having taken the Gig, he should ba able to recognise that the crowd will consist mostly of people who are there for something else and un familiar with his work.

    3. Given that the crowd would be mostly buissnes owners, if he refused to do Dead tunes in favour of something that he gets paid for the crowd would probably get behind him.

    4. The folks who are ther calling out for something that theh know are trying to meet him half way he could probably win them over by sStarting with a request and then bending it into something that he wants to play.

    5. The paralell to Keith Jarret has occured to me as well and disturbs me on a few levels, one I like Bruce’s music a lot more than Jarrets and two Bruce does not seem to be an ass, regardles of talent every time I hear Jarret speak I a filled wit hthe urge to punch him this is never the case with Bruce.

I was on the Buzz lightyear ride at tomorowland WDW. My wife and son jumped in 1 Car and I jumped in the other and this is the result. I do not keep guns in my home for many reasons, but mostly because the look on my face scares me.

On the other hand if Bruce does not like this sort of response from the crowd he may want to stop taking this type of Gig. It is not as though you cannot see this type of response coming at this type of show.

    Point taken.

I do have the advantage of Seeing Genesis in this lineup, the Police in their hay-day so it is easy for me to turn my nose up now.

My foil to the tagent question on the other hand would be Miles. Never saw him live. Had tickets to see him just before he got sick and died. He had arrived in town and I even managed to get a an autograph at the airport but he sickened in the afternoon, canceled the show and went back to New York and died that fall. I would fork out far more than the guys I am knocking are charging to have seen that show.

    Will you charge for this?

Shadow Hands is pretty good quality, some costs could probably use recouping.

Got to throw in Richard Thompson, very much like Bruce except for the playing guitar British and Muslim.

Also Jaco Pastorius except for the bass , nuts and dead.

I had read that Bruce has said that it was directly inspired by Big Rock Candy Mountain. Hence the Superb medley.

Things I have observed over time:

    1. At Bruce shows you see many piano players working things out in the air in front of them as Bruce plays(This is different that folks getting into the show and playing air piano).

    2. A friend who has a PHD in performed music will not teach Bruce to students because she feel she cannot do the material justice.

    3. The number and quality of musicians who request Bruce to play with them or cover his songs

    4. The fact that todays pop culture don’t seem to know what to make of Bruce.

All of these things do point to Burce being the musicians muscician but the bigger question is being the musicians musicians a good thin for Bruce?
