ParticipantI am completely without talent when it comes to music which is why I love it so much , it’s magic, I would love to hear some of the Bruce influenced creations of the folks on this site.

ParticipantI have Seen Dave and you are in for a treat. DMB strike me as the next generations Bruce and the noisemakers.

ParticipantMiss Virginia Former wrote:Maybe its just cuz I’m a Carolina Girl, but has anybody listened to Ben Folds’ stuff? quote]I have a few albums of his and really enjoy them all the way up here in Canada. He’s not bruce on the Piano but He’s Ok and the songs are great with a terrific sense of humour.
Plus he produced William Shatners last album ehat more can you ask!!!

ParticipantThere a lots of songs that I like a lot in Band version that also take on a new demension is the solo setting also. I am just struck by how much NOTT was elevated in my esteem when the solo version became available.

ParticipantI notice that the Three from the Jazz album are scheduled to play in LA in August. Wouldn’t that be a sweet tour…

ParticipantI’ll take the DVD as a document, but I don’t think I will watch it repeatedly. I heard Bruce mention once that it was shown on HDnet so I have my fingers and toes crossed that an HD DVD will be on the horizon or given that he belongs to Sony a Blu ray.

ParticipantIt would have to be a really close friend I guess, and then i can’t quite come up with a scenario…

ParticipantI like band shows better but my jaw drops more often at solo shows.

ParticipantI would love to see video of Big Rock Candy Mountain going into Candy Mountair run. Every time I hear that from the Biltore show I feel like I am going to jump out of my skin.

ParticipantFormula one…

ParticipantIf you like Bruce you will probably like the Band a lot. They are not quite at the same level chops wise but the writing and vocals can’t be beat.

ParticipantIn order to be the stick in the mud….
Can you imagine how good it would have been if had been Molo instead of the drum machine.

ParticipantBruce’s version with repect to Jerry and friends
And I will walk alone, by the black, muddy river
And sing me a song of my own.steve8282
ParticipantI am curious about this as well. A friend who is a drummer feels its is not such a big thing, drummers are always doing arm independence but not finger independence, is it a big difference?

ParticipantSi,
I think you have unleashed a gambling addiction. Will there be more soon?

ParticipantMy last one was Albany about 600Km from my home as Bruce does not get to Toronto to often. It was a good trip though and If the man won’t come to me I may be willing to go to him again.
steve8282
ParticipantI thin the occasional money gig makes him miss some shows.

ParticipantMy last one…

ParticipantA lot of Bruce songs are sad/ dark. Puts me in mind of Richard Thompson
