ParticipantNice! ….. The SiIVer AnnIVersary Collection
Vic
Victor
ParticipantWell, at least the Guestbook has returned … it’s under the “Community” button now, and Bruce last replied on Sept. 1. Still many non-functioning links, though.
Victor
ParticipantLooooolllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! How ya been?
Si: How about, in honor of the forthcoming live album, “Son of Shadow Hands” – ? Or maybe just, “Shadow Land” – ?
It also occurs to me that something graphically could be created with that Roman Numeral, “IV,” in the middle:
jIVe Talkin’ – ? …
Keepin’ It AlIVe – ? … 😆
ThrIVe – ? … “fIVe” – ???
Across the rIVer – ?
the great dIVide – ? <--My personal favorite!
Victor
ParticipantWhat a wonderful person. She will be missed.
I believe another piano man once spoke of how only the good die young. So true.

ParticipantI really don’t enjoy the Nevilles … what happened? Bruce miss his plane???
Victor
ParticipantDoubt I’ll be able to make it at all

ParticipantRed Light should have thrown Bryan a bone. The former site was great. Maybe a minor redesign and some added functionality — but no need for a complete overhaul! 😡
Victor
ParticipantPastures of Plenty, for one.
Victor
ParticipantI’ll second that, Kat. Great idea! More news about the musical straight from the horse’s mouth would be appreciated if possible, Si!
Victor
ParticipantMary,
He seems to be holding a digital viedo recorder. A bit of a peeping Tom???
I think it would make more sense if the sky were darker, though…
EDIT: Yeah, I went back to look at the poster in the link from the other thread, and it has starry skies and lights on the the windows. The SCKBSTD poster above seems to be a Photoshop work in progress.
Vic
Victor
ParticipantLove that poster. Great design!
Hope I can make it to Norfolk in January!!!

Davarino: Do you mean SMP the song, or SMP, the crazy Coloradan? (She’s best in small doses
)
Tri-molo: “Bride of the Noisemakers,” like “Son of Schenectady.”

ParticipantSi,
A belated Congratulations on these incredible podcasts! I finally just subscribed, so I can be sure I won’t miss an episode.
Life has gotten in the way a bit, and I haven’t posted much lately to the Board, but I’m always lurking. Great to hear Bruce has a unique idea in mind for another spin on the “jazz language.” Jazz + modern classical??? Should be interesting…
Cheers,
VicVictor
ParticipantFirst time I’ve been able to see the jazz trio perform live! Thanks, Dana…

ParticipantHey Mr. Board Legend!
And to think I knew you before you were even a mere Czar of Blabbery!
I’m only a Legend In My Own Mind, but you’re truly a Legend In Your Own Time!
I’m proud to have known you these past few years! You deserve the Hall of Fame!!!
Keep on keepin’ on,
Vic
Victor
ParticipantThanks, Bryan! One or two …. or four … of those might belong to me!
Victor
ParticipantThanks for the info, Bryan. I’d love to see Bruce to a Christmas album!!!
I guess it’s generally believed that musicians who do a Christmas album are artistically bankrupt, but I don’t think that’s necessarily so. And if Bruce’s comments on his official Guestbook are an indication, he may be warming to the idea of a Christmas disc.
It would be a great one!

Victor
ParticipantSorry to hear this news. I briefly met him at a solo show in Louisville a couple of years ago. He was definitely one of Bruce’s biggest fans. My condolences to his family.
Vic
Victor
ParticipantIs there anybody who hasn’t heard that one???
Merry Christmas to all — even Tiger!!!
Vic
Victor
ParticipantGlad to see this online. I missed it when it aired, but my dad said he was up Saturday morning and caught it. He said Bruce did some “Christmas music,” but he might have just seen the Christmas tree, the poinsettas, and heard that one “Christmas” line and assumed it was a Christmas song without paying much attention.
Does anyone know if Bruce in fact played any more tunes of the holiday variety?
David–I don’t know what that bit at the end was, but I thought it was interesting that Bruce left out the little lyrical turn of the screw at the end in a more mellow version of “Low Country” for the holidays!

ParticipantWhat’s the difference between Tiger Woods and Santa Claus?
Victor
ParticipantThis is my favorite prairie dog image …

Stephen Weaver, Ph.D., is a professor of geology at Colorado College and an award-winning landscape photographer. I saw this photo at a show at the college the other day and had to share it here. I assume he doesn’t mind my posting the link and generating a little traffic to his site.
Vic
Victor
ParticipantThe thorough explanation is much appreciated!
Hope the voice is back strong ASAP!

Victor
ParticipantGet well soon, Bruce!
