ParticipantDoes everyone LOVE that version of “This Too Shall Pass”?? I am not a “Swing Face”-basher, but I truly love how the song gets the more traditional Noisemakers treatment here. Cannot wait until June 10, Noisemakers at the Pageant in St. Louis!!

ParticipantLOL, Jackie! Maybe they’re all ending up in the well-equipped crypt. That’s why nobody’s posting.
Great show in St. Louis last week. Got to meet Bruce and get “the photo”! So exciting. Now that my family’s got our new big Christmas TV, I’m going to see “World’s Greatest Dad” next!
Happy Thanksgiving to all…

ParticipantMolo3, my sentiments exactly. What an amazing year it has been? Who wouldn’t want to be at the top of their game at 55?!? Happy birthday, Bruce!

Participantmy friend just told me about this… can’t wait to see it!

ParticipantI got a nice e-mail from Patti… she says she’s going to add me to the list cleared for the backstage after party (!holy cow!) but can’t guarantee that Bruce will actually be there. I’m ten kinds of nervous!
Walking Infraction
ParticipantThat was great, Jackie. Thanks!

ParticipantOn another thread, I mentioned that Cyclone feels very “important” to me. I can’t explain that, really… just that when you listen to it, there’s a sense that there’s something bigger going on below the surface. I really love it. It’s enchanting. And I never considered myself much of a Dead head. Can’t wait to hear it Nov. 19 in St. Louis!

Participanthas anybody bought it or heard it?
Walking Infraction
ParticipantOh, absolutely… I would never begrudge an artist his political views… I wonder if it’s a product of his maturity as a songwriter that he feels he can express himself more freely on this front.
@sunflowerkat… Glad to hear things are better for your son!
Has anybody else changed their opinion of their favorite song on the record? I seem to have a new favorite every day!

ParticipantMuch of what we’re looking for can be found in this interview…

ParticipantApparently, I’m repeating myself.
So is “Cyclone” just a midlife crisis song, or what? It strikes me as the most-important song on the record. It just has that big, epic feeling to it. But I’m not altogether sure what it’s telling me.

ParticipantHey, all…
I love the request collages, and I really can’t believe MINE from 2007 never made the cut!
I made a campaign sign for Vernon James, the narrator of “Walk in the Sun,” who I *still* think embodies the ideal qualities of a presidential candidate! Tolerant, hard-working, hopeful. Here’s a pic.

ParticipantSo, I watched about half of the Kobe show, I guess… WAY too much basketball, LOL! I’m just not an NBA fan, I guess.
Not very much music at all in the first part of the film, that I heard. Just a little solo piano noodling here and there.
I’m with jdbeck, though, re: the new record… I’ve never been disappointed before, so I’m ready for anything! In fact, I remember how thrown I was by “Spirit Trail” when I first heard it… and, of course, now it’s my favorite record. So, what the heck do I know?

ParticipantYou guys are killin’ me! Sad thing is, with this diet I’m on, all this talk is making me… strangely… hungry? If I want to get out of these “big, big sweats,” though, I’d better pass on all the gastronomical delights!
Walking Infraction
ParticipantI’ve got my DVR set for tonight! What does everybody think of “Levitate”? It has a feel like the “Swing Face” album… has anybody heard if the whole record will have a similar groove?
Walking Infraction
ParticipantTHAT is pretty cool! I’d take some home cookin’ right about now…
